What's new
Hexcraft Workshop v0.4.14 - Death-keep fully fixed + full persistence + multiplayer hardening
Apology: the author's ability is limited, this mod is mostly built with AI assistance and may not live up to expectations. It is open source (MIT) and will keep being updated.
- Death-keep FULLY FIXED (two-channel respawn recovery): on death the full PlayerData is backed up into persistentData; on respawn it is restored from that backup first, with capability copyFrom as fallback. Verified in-game: hexes/forges/equips/coins all survive death when keep is enabled
- NEW full persistence: player data (hexes/forges/equips/coins) is now also saved before the player file is written (SaveToFile) and restored on file load (LoadFromFile) plus on login - data survives logout/login, not just death
- Client-config-first (v0.4.11+, kept): the four death-keep toggles write to the client-local config hexworkshop-client.toml, can be set & saved from the main menu, no network needed, no crash; server gamerule also keeps if enabled; on login the client config is auto-applied to the gamerule
- Multiplayer hardening: C2SSetGameRule now has a permission guard - normal players on a dedicated server cannot change the server death-keep rules (host/OP only, unauthorized requests rejected + logged); config screen shows a multiplayer note
- Diagnostic logs: death decision + respawn restore + login restore + file-load restore all print actual values
- Protocol stays VERSION=15 - v0.4.13 players can upgrade directly
