# HeartBound Skills 1.5 — NeoForge 1.21.1

The biggest update so far! HeartBound Skills moves to **NeoForge 1.21.1** and becomes a full RPG layer on top of Minecraft.

## Now on NeoForge 1.21.1
- Ported from Forge 1.20.1 to NeoForge / Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Existing worlds carry over — your skills, coins and quests stay.

## Races
- On your first login (new **or** existing world) you choose one of six races: **Human, High Elf, Dwarf, Fairy, Orc, Beastfolk**.
- Every race has its own stats, passives and body size:
  - **Human** – +15% skill XP
  - **High Elf** – fast, +25% bow damage, extra reach
  - **Dwarf** – armor, mining speed, knockback resistance
  - **Fairy** – tiny, fast, high jumps, no fall damage, glows in the dark
  - **Orc** – tough, strong, Rage below 30% HP
  - **Beastfolk** – fast, quick attacks, permanent night vision
- Races are visible on your character: elf ears, dwarf beard & braids, fairy wings (they flap!), orc tusks, beast ears & wagging tail.
- Every race rolls a random look: Beastfolk come as Hound, Cat or Fox, dwarves have 4 beard colours, fairies 3 wing colours, elves and orcs 2 styles each.
- **Pearl of Rebirth**: an extremely rare chest find (works with every mod's chest loot) that lets you choose your race again. Bosses like the Wither and Ender Dragon have a good chance to drop it.

## Affix Gear
- Weapons, tools, armor, bows and shields can now roll a rarity — **Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Mythic** — and up to 5 random affixes.
- Stat affixes boost damage, attack speed, health, armor, speed, jump height, reach, luck and more.
- Effect affixes give real powers: Vampire (lifesteal), Execution, Storm (lightning), Cleaving, Berserker, Blazing, Frozen, Venomous, Piercing and Explosive shots, Spiked, Bulwark, Second Wind, Magnetic, **Phoenix** (survive a fatal blow), Molten (auto-smelt), Telepathy, Tunneling (3x3), Prospector, Harvester and more.
- Gear gets names like *"Blazing Iron Sword of the Vampire"* and a tooltip showing rarity and every affix.
- Find it as drops from hostile mobs (better with higher world level, bosses always drop), in any chest, in the shop and as quest rewards.

## New Weapon Classes
Six new weapon types in iron, diamond and netherite — craftable, and they drop as affix loot too:
- **Greatsword** – slow and heavy, every hit cleaves into nearby enemies
- **Dagger** – very fast, backstabs from behind deal double damage
- **Warhammer** – breaks armor, jump attacks slam the ground
- **Scythe** – reaps everything in a wide arc and heals you
- **Spear** – long reach, extra damage on distant hits
- **Katana** – critical strikes, sprint attacks always crit

## Quests & Reputation
- Four quest types: **Hunt, Deliver, Mine and Travel**. Active quests are tracked live on the HUD.
- The quest board refreshes every in-game day, and any offer can be rerolled for a few copper coins.
- Quests now also reward skill XP, and gold quests can drop affix gear.
- New **Reputation** system: completing quests raises your rank, letting you track more quests at once and earning up to 15% shop discount.
- Completed quests and rank-ups show an animated banner.

## Shop
- The merchant now sells affix gear (including the new weapon classes) and special food.
- Stock quality scales with your world level — from iron all the way up to netherite.
- Your reputation discount is applied automatically.

## Brand-new GUI
- The whole menu was redrawn from scratch: ornate frame, icon tabs, character preview with race banner and level badge, animated progress bars, glowing rarity cards, tooltips, sounds and animations.
- HUD quest tracker and block info use the same style.

## Fixes
- Menu no longer renders blurred.
- Keybind name now shows correctly in the controls menu.
- Eternal Steak no longer disappears when eaten.
- Added German translation.

## Removed
- The Skill Altar block from 1.4 is gone — the menu is opened with the **K** key.
