Description
Harvest Siege
Harvest Siege is a NeoForge 1.21.1 survival-defense mod. Place the Harvesting Core in your base, insert a Harvest Catalyst, and face escalating nightly monster raids — then convert that danger into energy and resources.
How It Works
- Place a Harvesting Core anywhere in your world.
- Insert a Harvest Catalyst into the Core's GUI.
- When night falls, the Core activates and hostile mobs raid your base, all targeting the Core.
- Defend the Core to keep it alive and collect the rewards.
Tip: Place the Core near a bed and base utility blocks (chest, furnace, crafting table, etc.) to unlock a Base Bonus — increased max HP, better regeneration, and higher resource output.
The Harvesting Core
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Max HP (base) | 1,000 |
| Max HP (with Base Bonus) | 1,250 |
| HP regeneration | Passive — resumes after a brief damage cooldown |
| Automation | FE and inventory via NeoForge capabilities |
The Core GUI displays everything at a glance: HP, catalyst slot, orb slot, output slot, survival day, mob level, stored FE, and current output rate.
- Plays a hit sound and emits particles when struck by raiders.
- Opening the GUI is safe — right-clicking with a block in hand opens the interface instead of placing the block.
- Pushes third-party HUD overlays (e.g. Jade) downward to prevent overlap with the Core HP bar.
Nightly Raids
Raiders spawn about 64 blocks away and are built to reach your Core no matter what is in their way.
- Block breaking — Raiders breach player-made walls. Break speed scales with block hardness, so tougher materials buy more time, but nothing stops them permanently.
- Smart navigation — Raiders climb, step over ledges, and use natural slopes before resorting to digging.
- Water traversal — Raiders swim and keep advancing instead of stalling in the sea.
- Stuck detection — Raiders that make no progress are discarded and replaced by fresh attackers.
- Retaliation — Raiders briefly fight back when hit, then refocus on the Core.
- Scaling — Raider stats grow with your survival day count. Using
/time setdoes not affect progression.
Raider Types
| Raider | Trait |
|---|---|
| Standard Raiders | Pathing zombies, skeletons, and similar mobs |
| Engineer Zombie | Leather helmet, iron pickaxe; places dirt to bridge pits or scaffold upward |
| Bomber Zombie | TNT head, extremely fast, very fragile; blasts wall breaches or deals burst damage to the Core on contact |
| Jump Piglin | Zombified piglin that vaults over walls with a powerful leap on cooldown |
| Mother Spider | Visibly larger spider that releases a swarm of smaller Core-targeting spiders on death |
Orb System
Insert an Orb alongside the Catalyst to generate resources during raids. All Orbs and Catalysts are non-stackable. Output scales with mob level.
| Orb | Resource | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Electric Orb | FE (Forge Energy) | Pushed into adjacent cables and machines |
| Nature Orb | Nature Shards | Placed into the Core output slot |
| Mining Orb | Earth Shards | Placed into the Core output slot |
The GUI shows the current generation rate (FE/t or items/s) in real time.
Shard System
Shards are crafted into bulk vanilla materials via shaped recipes. All conversions output ×16 compared to standard crafting.
Nature Shard → Crops & Growth Items
Seeds, crop items, fungi, canes, bamboo, berries, kelp, and all major sapling/propagule variants.
Earth Shard → Ore-Derived Materials
Coal, raw metal drops, redstone, lapis lazuli, quartz, emerald, diamond, gold nuggets, and other mid-to-late progression minerals.
Mod Compatibility
Compat recipes load only when the relevant mod is present — Harvest Siege is safe to run without any of them installed.
| Mod | Nature Shard | Earth Shard |
|---|---|---|
| Ars Nouveau | Magebloom, archwood saplings | Source gems |
| Botania | Mystical petals, natural mana materials | — |
| Farmer's Delight | Cabbage, tomato, onion, rice | — |
| Mekanism | — | Osmium, uranium, tin, lead |
| Thermal | — | Thermal metal line |
| Create | — | Raw zinc, andesite alloy |
