The Price of Existence

In the world of Harmony: Symbiotic Ascension, the apocalypse isn't a freak accident or an alien invasion. It is a biological correction. The infection exists because you exist. Every tree you fell, every passive creature you slaughter, and every change you impose on the environment feeds a hidden hunger. You are the catalyst, and the world has finally decided to purge its most successful parasite: the player.

The progression of your demise is measured by Symbiosis Points, a scale from 0 to 300 that dictates the world's metamorphosis. This isn't a simple timer; it is a complex, almost sentient system influenced by your behavior. While the infection starts as a "soft curve," it eventually reaches a breaking point where the slope becomes vertical. Exploration, once a core part of your journey, becomes a death sentence as the infection suppresses natural life to make room for its own children.

The Three Realms of Ascension

When the world hits the first 100 points, the "Ascension" ends and the Symbiotic Realm begins. The shy Shifters that once watched you from the dark corners of caves evolve into Infectors. Once the first drop of blood is spilled by an Infector, the world's natural spawning cycle begins to choke.

In this realm, the Symbiont Forest emerges—a biome so resilient it mocks your diamond tools. It breathes through a subterranean Nucleus, a massive organic heart buried deep underground, protected by the very earth it corrupts. Here, you will witness the first signs of a hivemind, though internal conflicts still brew between the "Moderate" symbionts and the rising "Extremists."

As you cross the 200-point threshold, the world enters the Flesh Realm. The moderates are purged; only aggression remains. The "Red Forest" stains the horizon, and the creatures within it possess quadrupled health and strength.

This realm is guarded by the Primordial Silent. He is an omnipresent shadow that moves through the sky and earth not via teleportation, but through a terrifying, unseen swiftness, reappearing only with the strike of a lightning bolt. He fires volleys of needles every 1/20th of a second, and armor offers little comfort—his damage scales with your maximum health. If you stand still, you die. If you hide, he finds you.

Beyond 300 points lies the Bark Realm, a desolate landscape of gargantuan petrified trees and spore-choked air. The creatures here, the Bark Entities, represent the pinnacle of biological AI. They do not rush you; they are not impulsive. They are patient. They are immortal architects of ruin that can track your heartbeat through solid mountains.

The master of this wasteland is the Primordial Lemming. A titan of such scale that his mere presence decays the life force of everything within 120 blocks. Surviving this final stage requires more than just weapons; it requires the extreme management of your own mortality, using the very flesh of your enemies to craft tools that can bite through their near-invincible hides.

Mechanics and Immersion

Harmony is designed with an extreme randomness factor. No two worlds end the same way because the infection reacts to how you play. By using "Imperfect Creatures"—generic masses of corrupted flesh—the infection can assimilate almost any entity from other mods, ensuring that your entire modpack falls under its shadow.

Accompanied by a custom, oppressive soundtrack and high-fidelity sound design, this mod aims to deliver a gameplay experience where every choice matters, and every death feels like a consequence of your own greed.
