Gravesend Beta 0.54.4 Changelog:
New Features:
- Injuries & Injury Changes:
- Injury System Revamp, bleeding is now injury based, various injuries have been added or revamped including cuts, sprains, broken bones, gashes, bites, blunt, and more! Each injury has different degrees and has different causes and affects! Open the health summary to figure out how to address an injury! Various injuries will display on player & NPC models. Wear armor when you walk through plants to avoid skin irritation from becoming an open wound! Also attempting to break hard blocks without a tool will sprain your hand! Gather rocks and mine leaves to get sticks and make tools to safely mine! Gloves will be added to prevent blisters later!
- New Medical Items!
- You can now craft woven cloth gauzes & tourniqits! They can be used stop bleeding III & IV! Check mod recipie book to figure out how to obtain them! You can also find them in Spanish camps! You can also superheat a sword to seal a severe wound if you have no tourniqit availible! Right click a fire with a matalic tool until it heats up to burn wound until it stops bleeding, heated equipment last for 60 seconds and can set things on fire like fire aspect, heating a tool will cost it 1 durability per second!
- Corpses
- Fallen Players and NPCs will leave corpses, which will show injuries and retain their items, flies will spawn from corpses and harass players, they will attack players with open wounds but are otherwise just annoying, remove corpses by hitting them and they will drop their items, you can also right click them to retreive your stuff or loot NPCs. NPCs will drop their load out with some consumables.
- Conquistadors!
- New Conquistador NPCs will now spawn in the Tropical Hammock and Everglades Marsh! They spawn as patrols with campfires or with camps! Camps contain a large campfire, which can hold two buckets, a dozen conquistadors and a medic. Medics will apply first aid to conquistadors and will use availible medical options to aid them. Conquistadors are hostile to outsiders and will warn the player in Spanish. If you approach, they will fire! You can disguise yourself as a Conquistador by obtaining and wearing their armor, which allows you to walk into a camp without being fired on, wearing a set will allow you to interact with medics, recieve first aid, and bring them back to your base. Medics can continiously apply heals. Camp will spawn with various supply caches, a steel bucket has been added, steel items cannot yet be crafted. You can also find rare patrols with horses! Conquistadors spawn with either crossbows or early firearms, while their firing rate is slow, it is extremely unadvisable to engage them in combat at this time! Comes in male and female with different skins! Spawning ratios are meant to more realisttically reflect their era! Avoid direct combat with Conquistadors at this time because the weapons needed to win are not yet availible to you!
- Concealment:
- You can conceal yourself and sneak up on NPCs by hiding in tall bushes, firing will give away your position, sneak or crawl to reduce detection odds!
- Subtropical Hammock Changes!
- Rebuilt Cabbage Palm Tree, will now spawn with thinner leaves, taller and more varied height, coconuts, and can slant! Pineapples and Guava Trees have also been added! Harvest the three by right clicking them like with normal bushes! You cannot eat them without a cutting board! Craft a cutting board to process them into peeled and cut variants! Fruits will now satiate 1% thirst per half hunger bar! Farrel Hogs and Black Bears will now spawn in the Subropical Hammock!
- Seagulls
- Seagulls have been added and will spawn within 150 blocks of a coastline, they are peaceful mobs and will flee when attacked, with a small chance of attacking the player. They can fly and spawn in hot and cold temperate biomes.
- Flies
- Spawn from unattended corpses! They are gross and annoying, they will buzz around the player and are gross, hit them once to kill them, remove corpses! That's gross! If you have an open wound, flies will begin attacking you!
Some background mechanics changes have also been done, NPC camp spawning has also been reduced by 75%! More content will be added to the subtropical hammock, steel items cannot be crafted at this time, crafting will be added later as steel is a more advanced material that requires more progression to create.
