# GpuShift 1.2.4 Hotfix

This update includes two compatibility hotfixes for modded render contexts.

## Smart Culling Compat Fix

Fixed incorrect smart entity culling in preview and GUI render contexts.

### Fixed
- Easy Villagers preview/fake villagers are now protected from entity culling.
- Alex’s Mobs book/GUI preview entities are now protected from entity culling.
- Smart culling still works normally for real distant entities in the world.

## Create Aeronautics FPS Fix

Fixed a severe FPS drop with `Create Aeronautics bundled 1.21.1` on NeoForge, where moving contraptions could drop the game to around `1 FPS`, especially when driving downward.

### Fixed
- Added a safe compatibility guard for Aeronautics/Simulated moving sublevel rendering.
- GpuShift now skips Block Entity Budget and item frame budgeting only while Aeronautics contraptions are rendering.
- Normal Block Entity Budget behavior is preserved outside Aeronautics contraption render paths.
- The rest of GpuShift’s optimizations remain active.

### Compatibility
- No hard dependency on Create Aeronautics or Simulated.
- If those mods are not installed, GpuShift works normally.

### Verified
- NeoForge 1.21.1 with Create Aeronautics bundled no longer drops to `1 FPS` when moving contraptions downward.
- F8/F9 controls, desktop UI, GPU particles, Auto Tune, and Benchmark remain functional.
- Far chests, signs, item frames, and other normal world objects can still be budgeted outside contraptions.
