# Golem Command Mod
A Minecraft mod that gives you full control over your Iron Golems and Snow Golems, allowing them to follow you, guard locations, patrol areas, and even harvest resources!
## Features
### Iron Golem Commands
Control your Iron Golems with a simple GUI interface. Right-click any Iron Golem to open the command screen.
#### Available Modes
- **Follow Mode**: Your Iron Golem will follow you wherever you go, staying within 10 blocks and protecting you from threats.
- **Stay Mode**: Commands the golem to stay at its current location. Perfect for keeping golems stationed at specific spots.
- **Guard Mode**: Set a position and radius for your golem to guard. The golem will patrol within the specified area and attack any hostile mobs that enter.
- Click "Set Guard Position" to mark the current location
- Adjust the guard radius (5-50 blocks) using the slider
- The golem will stay within the guarded area while defending it
- **Patrol Mode**: Create a patrol route by setting multiple waypoints. Your golem will continuously walk between these points.
- Click "Add Waypoint" to add the current position to the patrol route
- Set up to 10 waypoints to create complex patrol paths
- The golem will cycle through all waypoints in order
### Snow Golem Commands
Snow Golems have their own specialized interface focused on resource gathering. Right-click any Snow Golem to open the command screen.
#### Harvest Mode
Snow Golems can automatically collect snow and ice blocks for you!
- **Start Harvesting**: The golem will search for and collect snow layers, ice blocks, and packed ice within 8 blocks
- **Automatic Collection**: Harvested items are stored in the golem's 9-slot inventory
- **Smart Targeting**: Golems prioritize the closest blocks and will give up on unreachable targets
- **Stop**: Returns the golem to idle mode
- **Collect All Items**: Click this button to make the golem drop all collected items at its location
#### Inventory Display
The Snow Golem GUI shows a 3x3 grid displaying all items the golem has collected. When the inventory is full, the golem will drop any additional items on the ground.
### Combat Abilities
Both Iron Golems and Snow Golems will actively defend against hostile mobs:
- **Prioritize Creepers**: Golems will target creepers first to protect nearby structures
- **Attack All Hostiles**: In Follow, Guard, and Patrol modes, golems will engage any hostile mobs
- **Harvest Mode Exception**: Snow Golems in Harvest mode focus on resource collection and won't actively seek combat

## Tips and Tricks
- **Guard Radius**: Larger guard radii give golems more room to intercept threats, but they may wander farther from the guard point
- **Patrol Routes**: Create efficient patrol routes by placing waypoints in a logical circuit around your base
- **Snow Golem Farms**: Set up multiple snow golems in snowy biomes to automatically harvest snow for your building projects
- **Creeper Defense**: Place Iron Golems in Guard mode near valuable structures - they'll prioritize attacking creepers before they can explode
- **Inventory Management**: Regularly collect items from harvesting Snow Golems to keep their inventory from filling up
## FAQ
**Q: Will my golem commands persist if I close and reopen my world?**
A: Yes! All golem modes, waypoints, guard positions, and inventories are saved with your world data.
**Q: Can I have multiple golems with different commands?**
A: Absolutely! Each golem remembers its own individual commands and settings.
**Q: What happens if my golem dies?**
A: If a Snow Golem with items in its inventory dies, it will drop all collected items. You'll need to create a new golem and set up commands again.
**Q: Do the golems need upgrades or special items to use these features?**
A: No upgrades are required! All features work with standard Iron Golems and Snow Golems.
**Q: Can golems harvest while I'm away from them?**
A: Golems only perform actions when their chunks are loaded. If you travel too far away, they'll pause until you return.
