Changelog — 2.2.0+26.2

Wolf Armor Dyeing

  • Added support for dyeing Wolf Armor by using a dye directly on an armored wolf.
  • Using a dye normally applies the dye’s pure color.
  • Holding Shift blends the new dye with the armor’s current color using Minecraft’s Vanilla dye blending algorithm.
  • Dyeing preserves the armor’s durability, custom name, enchantments, and other item data.

Sit / Stand Interaction

  • When the selected dye would no longer change the armor’s color, the interaction toggles the wolf between sitting and standing.
  • The dye is not consumed when toggling the wolf’s state.
  • This also works after repeated blended dye applications.

Blending Improvement

  • Improved the handling of Vanilla dye blending rounding, especially noticeable with colors such as purple.
  • When repeated blending reaches a stable color that is visually identical to the dye’s pure color, the armor is normalized to the exact pure color.
  • This prevents an additional dye from being consumed without producing a visible color change.

Preserved Vanilla Behavior

  • Dyes still recolor the collars of wolves that are not wearing armor.
  • Feeding, leashing, shearing, equipping, and repairing Wolf Armor continue to work normally.
  • Existing dye interactions with horses, llamas, ghasts, blocks, and other supported targets remain unchanged.
  • Dye interactions from the off-hand are handled correctly.
