Welcome To The Wonderful World Of Visions!

 

This mod attempts to bring the visions from Genshin Impact into the world of Minecraft. This magical mod adds 7 elemental visions that the player can get through a variety of different ways and a plethora of different powers they give to the player. Though it isn't everything all at once from the game, the mod aims to bring a unique, lite breath of air to both the 1.16 classic mod made by Fapdos and the way Genshin is translated into a blocky dimension.

Visions

 

 

If you're unfamiliar with the concept, a "Vision" is essentitaly a vessel to channel elemental power through. They're gifts from the Gods to people who hold great ambition in their lives. In the case of Minecraft, these visions are very powerful tools to help with a variety of situations from breathing underwater, surviving infinite heights of fall, and being protected from the extreme tempatures of the outdoors. Please take a look at what each vision does and how to obtain them:

 

VISION ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION

 

If you have a vision, you can use the (default) V key to open a menu to store your vision. Upon it being stored, it's powers will be automatically activated until you remove it from the activation menu.

VISIONS

 

ANEMO

How to get

If a player has 5 or less hearts and takes fall damage, then they have a 30% chance to obtain it

Abilities

-Disabled fall damage

-When attacking an entity, will have 30% chance to apply levitation and 100% chance to apply “anemo applied” effect


-Slight speed increase

-"Wind Strider" -- sneaking and then right clicking with the anemo vision active will charge up a powerful jump. It has 2 levels; charging for a brief second will lift you into the air a little, while charging for a bit longer will launch you into the air higher. Both levels will also launch entities into the air in a certain radius around you, with the second level launching them further up

GEO

How to get

When mining ores underground (within overworld) with any pickaxe of less than 50% durability, you have a 15% chance to obtain a geo vision

Abilities

-Resistance 

-Strength

-Ability to summon geo pillar blocks into your inventory (default key: RIGHT SHIFT). These blocks cannot be broken but disappear after some time once placed.

-Create a geo shield by sneak right clicking

-When attacking entity, will apply “geo applied”

 

ELECTRO

How to get

When a player is struck by lightning, they have a 40% chance to obtain it

 

Abilities 

-When attacking entity, the player has a chance to strke them with lightning

-When attacking entity, applies “electrified” effect

-Healed when struck by lightning 

-Right clicking the ground while sneaking gives extreme speed and swimming speed for a few seconds

-Immunity to being electrocuted

-When right clicking while sneaking with redstone dust in hand, creates charged redstone

 

DENDRO

 

How to get

When enchanting an item (anything but a book) in an enchantment table within forest, dark forest, jungle, or bamboo jungle, if you have flowers within your inventory, you have varying chance to obtain the vision (see below):

0-10 flowers - 0%
11-20 flowers - 10%
21-30 flowers - 20%
31-40 flowers - 30%
41-50 flowers - 40%
>50 flowers - 50%

Abilities

-When standing nearby any plant, the player will become very lucky

-When attacking entities, will apply “dendro applied” and has a chance to apply poison

-Being poisoned will regenerate the player

-When right clicking the ground while sneaking, will give apples and a chance of a golden apple

 

HYDRO

 

How to get

When underwater with 5 or less hearts and the player takes damage, they have a 30% chance to obtain it

 

Abilities

-Water breathing 

-Night vision while underwater 

-Dolphin’s grace 

-Ability to walk on lava

-When on lilypads, jump boost 2 is applied

-When attacking entities, apply a “wet” effect

-When it is raining, the “speed” effect will be applied

 

PYRO

 

How to get 

If on fire with less than or equal to 5 hearts, the player has a 30% chance to obtain it

 

Abilities

-Fire resistance 

-Immunity to blazing heat

-Blazes Grace: Nether mobs will not attack you

-Able to walk on water

-When attacking an entity, will ignite on fire and apply a “blazed” effect

-While shift right clicking with raw food in hand, automatically cook it

 

CRYO

How to get 

Taking damage in a cold biome (any in which snow can occur) meets the requirement for obtaining the vision.

 

Abilities

-Immunity to sheer cold

-When right clicking the ground while sneaking, summon Cryo Snowballs into inventory. These snowballs apply “cryo applied,” slowness, and mining fatigue to entities they hit and freeze the water while flying.

-Able to walk on water

-When attacking entities, applies “cryo applied”

DELUSIONS

 

 

Delusions are man-made visions used to unfairly harness the power of the Gods. They operate similarly and mirror the effects of the visions above. However, the downside to them is they also give the effect, “delusional.” When you have the delusional effect, when attacking entities or when you are attacked, you have a chance of taking 2 hearts of damage and a chance of receiving the wither effect for a few seconds. After the delusional effect wears off after 2 minutes, the vision effect will disappear and you will receive a weakness effect.

 

To craft a delusion, you need delusion shards. To make these, you need to place 1 block of coal into the crafting table which gives 2 delusion shards.

 

It takes 4 shards to make one delusion and a single item in the center. For example:

Anemo: glass bottle

Geo: charcoal

Electro: redstone dust

Dendro: dirt block

Hydro: rotten flesh

Pyro: torch

Cryo: snowball

 

PARAMETRIC TRANSFORMER

 

Have you lost your vision and aren't sure how to get it back without cheats? Now introducing the parametric transformer!

 

 

In order to use this nifty tool, you must first prove to the gods thart you deserve a vision in the first place. So, if you have not earned the pyro vision yet, you cannot summon one, but if you have earned a geo vision but have lost it then you may use the parametric transformer to resummon the geo vision.

 

 

 

While this power is infinite, keep this in mind:

 

-You can't get a vision that you have not recieved yet (gate locked through advancements)

-You need 64 mora to trade for your vision

-It will not give you a vision if you already have the same vision in your inventory

-You must type the element (anemo, geo, electro, etc.) in lowercase for it to work

 

Elemental Reactions

 

And with messing with different elements comes different elemental reactions. If you've played Genshin before, these should be familar. If you haven't, here's the break down:

 

Swirl: When an entity has the anemo applied effect and is then inflicted with pyro, electro, cryo, or hydro, a small explosion will occur and the entity attacked and any nearby will be afflicted with the swirled element and be re-effected by the swirled element

Vaporize: When an entity has hydro applied, and then pyro is applied, “vaporize” effect is applied. While this effect is active, they'll take double damage. The same applies when pyro is applied first, but it instead the entity will take 1.5x the damage

Overload: When an entity has both pyro and electro applied, an explosion will happen and they will be lit on fire

Melt: When an entity has pyro applied, and then cryro is applied, “melt” effect is applied. While this effect is active, they'll take double damage. The same applies when cryo is applied first, but it instead the entity will take 1.5x the damage

Burning: When dendro and pyro are applied onto an entity, they'll be lit on fire for a short period

Electrocharged: When an entity is electrocuted, if they have wet applied, they’ll take quick paced electro damage until either effect has run out

Frozen: When an entity has cryo and hydro applied, they’ll have immense slowness and mining fatigue until either effect has run out

Shatter: When an entity is frozen and they are hit, they’ll take immense damage from hits until frozen wares off

Bloom: When an entity has dendro applied and hydro applied, a dendro core will appear. After a few seconds, the dendro core will explode causing damage and applying dendro to any entity too close

Burgeon: When a dendro core comes into contact with fire, they’ll explode immediately and apply poison to any nearby entities

Hyperbloom: When a dendro core comes into contact with an entity with electro applied, the core will disappear and will shoot a dendro projectile at the nearest entity

Superconduct: When an entity has cryo and electro applied, they’ll take damage and then will have additional cryo applied. They will also take additional damage from attacks while "superconduct" is applied

Spread & Aggravate: When dendro and electro come into contact without hydro, the reaction “quicken” will be applied. While the quicken effect is applied, if an entity is applied with additional dendro, they will be afflicted with the “spread” effect and will take additional damage while the dendro is applied. Similarly, when electro is applied, “aggravate” will be applied and the entity will take additional damage while electro is applied.

Crystalize: When an entity has geo applied and comes into contact with pyro, electro, hydro, or cryo, a geo shard will be placed at their feet. When a geo shard is walked through, it will give the entity the “geo shield” effect. During this effect, entities will become immune to all types of damage until it wears off. 

 

Unbearable Temperatures

 

When entering a biome that’s too hot or too cold, the player may be affected by Blazing Heat or Sheer Cold. When walking into either, a warning will be displayed on screen. Blazing Heat and Sheer Cold can both be turned off in world settings, in a config file, or in game using the gamerulse command.

BLAZING HEAT

 

During blazing heat, after a few seconds, the player will receive nausea. Then after a few more seconds the effect “blazing heat burns” will be applied and will periodically damage the player until it runs out.

 

Curing blazing heat is easy. If a player has a pyro vision, they’ll be immune. If a player drinks “cold water,” it’ll remove the effects and prevent them if drank before entering. If a player leaves the hot biome, the effects will periodically disappear.

 

Making cold water is made by the following crafting recipe:

SHEER COLD 

 

During sheer cold, after a few seconds, the player will get the slowness effect applied. And then after a few more seconds, the “sheer cold shivers” effect will be applied. When sheer cold shivers is applied, the player will take continuous damage until it runs out.

 

Curing sheer cold is easy. If you have a cryo vision you are immune to it. If you drink a potion called “Bottle of warming,” it’ll remove the effects and prevent them if drunken before entering. If you leave the cold biome, the effects will periodically go away.

 

Brewing a Bottle of warming is obtained via placing a bottle of cold water over a campfire for a period of time. 

 

GRACE PERIOD

When a player joins the world, they’ll have the “grace” effect applied. If the player spawns in or enters a hot or cold biome they’ll be warned on screen but will not receive sheer cold or blazing heat effects until the grace effect expires. 

 

Extras

 

Elemental Potions

 

 

These elemental potions apply element effects upon contact or upon an entity drinking them. For example, if you drink a cryo potion it’ll apply cryo to you. If you threw a splash potion of dendro, you’ll give any nearby entities the dendro applied effect.

In order to create these potions you must use a brewing stand and infuse an item into an awkward potion:

Anemo: feather

Geo: coal

Electro: amythest shard

Dendro: any sapling

Hydro: any fish

Pyro: lava bucket

Cryo: cryo snowball

 

Config

This mod has a config file with several options you can change if you don't like certain parts of the mod. More configs will be added in future updates.
