furkin-1.20.1-0.0.1.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Initial release — 1.20.1-0.0.1.0
Everything from M0 through M5 is here, all at once. No prior versions to migrate from.
Added
- Contract system — Contract vanilla cats and dogs into companions: contract item, naming screen, and persistent companion records.
- Companion management — Summon, recall, release and rename, with an overhead status icon and tracking for lost and fallen companions.
- Growth & skill tree — A level curve and skill points across 13 skills (6 shared trunk + 4 cat + 3 dog). Skill data is JSON-driven and hot-reloadable via
/reload. - Travel pouch — A carry-along inventory that grows with the
travel_pouchskill, handling shrinking, reclaiming, and death drops. - Equipment — Four slots (head / chest / legs / feet), saved with the companion, with a death snapshot and drop-chance suppression.
- Revival — A fire-resistant soulstone bound to the companion's id, a 12-flower + wool revival ritual, and an in-record fallback (1 diamond, 600 s per-pet cooldown) if the soulstone itself is lost. Try not to lose the soulstone.
- Furkin panel — Container screen with Skill / Pouch / Equipment tabs; the skill tab carries a live attribute readout with a hover breakdown.
- Furkin Record — Companion attributes shown directly in the record screen.
- Commands — A
/furkincommand tree covering summon, archive and skill operations. - Creative tab — A dedicated Furkin tab holding all four items.
- Configuration — Client and server TOML configs, including balance values.
- Public API —
com.wanancat.furkin.api, for third parties to register species and react to level-ups.
For mod developers
- ⭐ First public API release — 7 public types:
FurkinApi,FurkinSpecies,FurkinSpeciesRegistry,IFurkin,FurkinSkillEffectType,FurkinSkillEffectTypeRegistry,FurkinLevelUpEvent. MAJORAPIis currently0— the API is not yet declared stable. Compare that segment (or callFurkinApi.getApiVersion()) against every furkin update before you ship.- ⚠️ Everything outside the
apipackage — especiallyinternal.*— is implementation detail with no compatibility promise. No standalone api jar is published, so treat that boundary as a convention rather than a compile-time wall.
Known limits
- Armor stats apply but visuals don't render on the companion model.
- The four items appear only in Furkin's own creative tab.
- Balance values are frozen at their initial set and may be rebalanced later.
