ForgivingMod – A Hardcore Survival Mod with Second Chances

Survival is brutal, but everyone deserves a second chance. ForgivingMod enhances Minecraft's hardcore experience with a unique death and health system that rewards perseverance while maintaining serious consequences.

Features

  • Dynamic Health System – Each death grants extra max health, up to a configurable limit. Survive longer and gain strength as you push your limits.

  • Last-Life Warning – Players receive a special warning when they are on their final life, adding tension and strategy.

  • Bonus Lives – Players can receive additional lives beyond the standard max, configurable per player.

  • Server Ban Mechanic – If a player exceeds their maximum lives, optional bans are enforced, either temporary or permanent.

  • Admin Commands – Operators can manage the system easily:

    • /forgivingmod reset <player> – Reset a player's deaths and unban them.

    • /forgivingmod reload – Reload configuration.

    • /forgivingmod info – View current configuration (admin only).

    • /forgivingmod deathcount <player> – Check a player’s death stats.

Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API.

  2. Place ForgivingMod-X.X.X.jar into your mods folder.

  3. Configure settings in config/ForgivingMod/Forgiving.json (auto-generated on first run).

  4. Restart your server or client. The mod works on both server and single-player.
