INTO THE WOODS: PART 1
This is a release version of Forager's Insight called Into the Woods: Part 1. This is the first update in the Into the Woods "saga" if you will.
Into the Woods: Part 1 will focus on enhancing several of the temperate overworld forested biomes with new content, such as the new Suspicious Leaf Litter!
Get out your brushes and get into the woods!
🆕NEW CONTENT
Suspicious Leaf Litter + Brushing
🍃Suspicious Leaf Litter is a new block that spawns in the several forested biomes. Players can right click with a Brush to sweep away debris and reveal an item.
💰Suspicious Leaf Litter loot is dependent on the biome these blocks generated in. In addition, some loot tables are shared by other variant biomes, specificially Old Growth Birch Forests and Old Growth Spruce Taiga's with their respective standard variant.
🧹Brushing Suspicious Leaf Litter will grant 2 XP on completion. Rarer loot will grant additional XP, the most being a total of 5 XP for finding a rare Blewit Mushroom.
Blewit Mushroom
🍄A new choice edible rarely found when brushing Suspicious Leaf Litter. These mushrooms can be eaten raw but has a chance to apply Hunger to the player.
🔵These can be cooked into dishes as well as be used to make blue dye or grown into Mushroom Colony.
Lilac Trees + Lilac Blooms
🌳A new tree that generates in Flower Forests. Players can also grow their own Lilac Tree by placing Lilac on Rich Soil, this will treat it like a sapling and cause to have a chance per tick or when Bone Mealed to grow into its' tree form.
🌳Lilac Trees have their own Log and Leaves as well as a special variant called Blossoming Lilac Leaves, these when broken can drop Lilac. In addition, Blossoming Lilac Leaves are the source of the new crop, Lilac Bloom.
💐Players can pick a single Lilac Bloom from a mature Hanging Lilac Leaves Block or snip with Shears instead to gain 2, these can be used in a few dishes, as well as be crafted into a new Foliage Mat variant and used in the Diffuser!
ENCHANTMENT
Fire Aspect + Tappers
🔨Tappers can now be enchanted with Fire Aspect. Doing so will allow the enchanted Tapper to collect Birch Syrup instead of Sap, making the collection process more efficient.
🔥Fire Aspect II will also speed up the time it takes to harvest!
Luck of the Trees + Brushes
✨A new enchantment that is exclusive to Brushes. This acts like a counterpart to Luck of the Seas.
🧹When brushing Suspicious Leaf Litter with an enchanted Brush, it will shift the weights of the loot table, making common items less common and rare items less rare. This will not affect XP gained.
WOODSET
🪓Lilac Log is a new log from Lilac Trees. Along with this comes a new woodset that includes all the typical blocks one would find in a typical vanilla woodset as well as its own Cabinet!
STORAGE
📦Blewit Mushrooms and Lilac Blooms can be storaged in a new crate, these are half slabs blocks and can be stacked.
FOOD
🍄💐 New dishes for Blewit Mushrooms and Lilac Blooms. Blewit Bites; Auspicious Stew; Lilac Teacake; Lilac Salad.
🍲Auspicious Stew is a new dish that is similar to Suspicious Stew but can only grant positive effects. By picking one of the following exchangable ingredients: Spruce Tip; Rose Petal; Roselle Petal; Lilac Bloom.
ADVANCEMENTS
📜The advancement tree is beginning to take shape. This is still an early implementation and still has a ways to go before its finalized. At the moment there are 15 advancements each unlocked from finding content or taking part in an interaction unique to Forager's Insight. Such as Foraging, Tapping, and Brushing.
🔁Larger Changes
DIFFUSER
💨 An active Diffuser will now pause its duration after being broken. Hovering over the Diffuser in the inventory will reveal the paused Scent and the ingredients used to make it.
💨Players can replace the Diffuser and relight it with Flint and Steel to resume it's duration.
💨Diffusers can now also accept either Honeycomb Block or Birch Sap Buckets in the enhancement slot. Honeycomb Block increases Scent radius by 100% and Birch Sap Bucket increases duration by 85%.
💨Using the extinguish button on an active Diffuser now makes an audible exstinguish noise.
💨New Diffuser recipe: Floral II, this recipe uses 1 each of the following: Dense Roselle Petals; Dense Rose Petals; Dense Lilac Bloom. This exudes the Floral II scent. This acts like a stronger version of Floral, having a higher effect radius as well as giving a higher rank of Bloom to players.
BOUNTIFUL TREE GROWTH
🌳Bountiful Trees no longer have a unique sapling, instead Bountiful Trees are now grown the same way a Lilac Tree is.
🌳Planting a respective sapling on Rich Soil or Rich Soil Farmland, will allow it to grow into its Bountiful Variant. Doing so will consume the Rich Soil, converting it into Rooted Dirt.
🔁Minor Changes
🌲Bountiful Trees now generate with Bountiful Leaves at their most mature state, instead of always starting at Stage 0, this should also allow players to more easily identify these variants.
🌲Bountiful Spruce Tree shape has been fixed.
🍎Bountiful Oak Trees now generate with 5 Bountiful Leaves, prior a lot more could generate and it didn't seem balanced.
♻ Reorganized Creative Tab
🍄Overrode Suspicious Stew recipe to accept Blewits as a Mushroom in the recipe.
🎨 Texture tweaks to the following: Woodland Pasta; Medicinal/Bloom/Odorous Effect Icons; Top Texture of Rose Hip Sack; Bountiful Dark Oak Leaves stages;
👃🏾Diffusing Recipe for Floral now takes Lilac Bloom instead of Lilac and has a new scent particle.
🍝Woodland Pasta now also accepts Blewit Mushrooms.
🍵Tonics now stack to 16.
🔲Configurable settings for the various foraging and farming experience sources added in Blossom n Bloom.
🐄 Gaining XP from milking cows now has a cooldown to avoid infinite xp spam.
🔨Netherite Mallet is now made in the Smithing Table.
🍉Breaking Pumpkins/Melons that aren't connected to a Stem no longer gives XP. Harvesting them when they are attached to a Stem still gives XP like normal.
