For The Void — 0.7.3 Beta
Changes since 0.7 · Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
Combat & Evolution
-
Removed the movement-speed damage bonus caps from Assassin Q and W.
-
Reworked Assassin Q:
-
Normal: 8 base damage + movement-speed bonus + 2 armor-bypassing damage.
-
Isolated: 16 base damage + movement-speed bonus + 6 armor-bypassing damage.
-
Rear attacks against isolated targets multiply both damage portions by 1.25.
-
Splash deals half the non-isolated Q damage, including half its armor-bypassing portion.
-
-
Reworked Bruiser Q:
-
Normal: 12 damage + 5% of the target’s maximum health.
-
Isolated: 16 damage + 10% of the target’s maximum health.
-
Ignores 20% of armor, replacing its previous separate armor-bypassing damage.
-
-
Increased evolution requirements:
-
Assassin: 1,200 → 1,500 points.
-
Bruiser: 1,500 → 1,600 points.
-
-
Updated evolution progress indicators and branch descriptions.
Stealth & Mob Behavior
-
Flying or gliding now cancels origin-granted concealment and prevents it from activating.
-
This also cancels concealment from landing and Void Reflexes, along with the Ghost effect. Ordinary jumps and vanilla invisibility potions are unaffected.
-
Villagers now require line of sight before fleeing from Unwelcome Predator. They no longer flee from concealed players through walls or from invisible, Creative or Spectator players.
Visuals
-
Bruiser Q now uses an orange version of the original pixel slash animation, rendered on curved 3D geometry at a 15% larger scale.
-
Claws angle outward by 10° on each side.
-
Redesigned the cocoon with an uneven, stepped pixel silhouette and a sealed top.
-
Replaced roots and the opening mouth with an asymmetric, flat purple slime puddle.
-
Added stronger swirling ribbons and particles during cocoon formation.
-
Added an ending animation that separates the shell into five large sections.
-
Added an opaque first-person purple membrane overlay to hide interior cocoon geometry, with subtle veins, wet highlights and slow breathing motion.
Mob & Food Tags
-
Added global exclusions for evolution points and kill-based passive progress:
-
khazix:no_evolution_point_mobs -
khazix:no_passive_progress_mobs
-
-
Added food compatibility tags:
-
khazix:carnivore_foods -
khazix:no_carnivore_foods -
khazix:forbidden_foods
-
-
Added reset ingredient tags:
-
khazix:reset_meat -
khazix:no_reset_meat
-
-
Food tooltips now follow the same eligibility rules as consumption.
-
New tags are empty by default, allowing datapack customization without changing existing eligibility.
