Folkbound 0.1.0-beta.1
The first public beta of Folkbound is here.
Folkbound is a folklore-inspired magic mod focused on discovery, experimentation, physical rituals, strange spirits, and supernatural consequences. Instead of traditional spell menus or mana systems, players learn how the unseen world works by exploring, gathering unusual materials, finding clues, and performing rituals in the world.

This is the first beta release and is primarily intended for testing the complete Folkbound 0.1 gameplay loop.
The core progression is:
Explore → discover materials and clues → create folkcraft tools → construct rituals → interact with the unseen world → develop affinities → form pacts → deal with their consequences
Folkbound intentionally does not provide a spell list or traditional progression menu. Discovering how rituals and supernatural systems work is part of the experience.
Known Limitations The current ritual, spirit, and pact selection is intentionally small for 0.1. Structure loot is currently simple and may be expanded in later versions. Some supernatural systems are intentionally hidden from the player. Balance may change throughout the beta based on feedback. More rituals, spirits, folkcraft, pacts, and world discoveries are planned for future releases. Compatibility Minecraft 26.2 NeoForge 26.2 Server and client installation recommended for multiplayer Feedback
