Deepwood Witch Origin — v1.1.2–v1.1.3 Changelog
- Reworked heavy armor detection to make it much more consistent across vanilla and modded armor.
- Heavy armor now means iron-tier or stronger instead of relying on the old chestplate-only rule.
- Added automatic detection for obvious:
- Iron
- Diamond
- Netherite
- Added a total-armor fallback:
- 15+ armor points counts as heavy, matching full vanilla iron.
- Added slot-based armor checking for better mod compatibility:
- Helmet: 2+ armor
- Chestplate: 6+ armor
- Leggings: 5+ armor
- Boots: 2+ armor
- Modded armor pieces that meet or exceed vanilla iron protection for their slot now count as heavy automatically.
- This improves compatibility with armor from mods such as:
- Ice and Fire
- Epic Knights
- and other mods using materials like steel, dragonsteel, silver, mithril, plate armor, or custom metals
- Kept support for the manual compatibility tag:
#deepwoodwitchorigin:heavy_armor
- Heavy armor continues to suppress:
- Forestborn
- Deepwood Recovery
- Iron’s Spell Affinity
Overall, these updates make the Deepwood Witch’s armor restrictions work much more reliably in larger modpacks instead of depending on specific item names or vanilla-only armor sets.
