Description
Fear of Sound
Fear of Sound is a Forge mod that brings your world to life by making mobs dynamically react to nearby noises. Instead of just running away, creatures now have distinct personalities: some will flee in terror, while others will play dead and freeze in place! This adds a new layer of immersion and stealth gameplay, as your actions can startle creatures and influence their behavior in unique ways.
This is the opposite of Attract To Sound Mod.
Features
Dynamic Fear System
Mobs listen for sounds like footsteps, block breaks, and explosions. They calculate a “fear radius” based on the noise intensity and decide how to react. Two Unique Reactions: Flee or Freeze!
Not all mobs just run! Configure which creatures flee from danger and which ones play dead, like a fainting goat.Powerful Bypass System
Want to keep your pets or special mobs safe? Bypass any mob using a Custom Name or specific NBT data. A mob named "Pet" or one that is{Silent:1b}can be configured to ignore all sounds!Highly Configurable
Nearly every aspect is adjustable via the.tomlconfig file. Tweak sound properties, block muffling values, player step sounds, and entity lists to tailor the experience to your exact liking.Built-in Mod Support
Out-of-the-box integration for Simple Voice Chat and Tacz is included, with easy ways to add sounds from any other mod.
