Far View V1.2
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
FarView 0.1.2 — Textured Distance
Distant terrain is textured now, not painted. Within the full-detail range it uses the real block textures from your resource pack, so the far view matches the world instead of sitting beside it.
Added
Real block textures on close terrain. Everything inside the full-detail range draws each block with its own texture instead of a flat colour, and it follows whatever resource pack you use.
Correct side textures on cliff faces. A grass cliff now shows the grass side strip rather than a wall of lawn. The same applies to podzol, logs, sandstone, and anything whose sides differ from its top.
Seamless mode. Found in FarView's settings, disabled by default. Distant terrain is drawn everywhere and hidden wherever the real world already is, so there is no visible boundary, no gap ring, and nothing protruding through hills. It is ignored automatically while a shader pack is loaded.
Distance fades in from the haze instead of appearing all at once.
Fixed
Distant terrain no longer appears in front of loaded chunks. Flat slabs could show up among nearby buildings and across rivers. This was most noticeable at low render distances.
Holes in the distance are gone. A ring could form where neither the distant terrain nor the real world drew, leaving sky visible through the landscape.
Ice and other flat surfaces no longer render as pale blank shapes.
