ERYDON v1.5

Added

  • Framed Glazing: Added framed glazing blocks in tinted, silver, crystal, and bronze variants. These include flat framed glazing, plus matching slope and upper/lower shallow slope pieces for angled glass roofs, skylights, and framed window details.
  • German Language Support: Added complete German language support, covering every block name, item group name, tooltip, and the new Mod Menu integration.
  • New Textures: Added Latmion (limestone), Psamatheon (sandstone), and Kelastrion (Belgian Blue / black limestone). These are available in the same variants and block families as the other base textures. PBR for the new textures is honed rather than polished, giving them a softer, less shiny finish.
  • Hewn Variants: Added rough-cut stone ashlar variants for all base textures, available for the same blocks as ashlar and rusticated variants. Strong height maps are used to emphasise the rough-cut surface.
  • Pendant Lights: Added Diaphanes translucent pendant lights in Borealis, Gelastrum, Mielonyx, and Selenephos variants, with bronze/silver metal finishes, small/large body styles, and chainable rod sections. Large pendant bodies use invisible helper lights around the 3x3 area for better illumination, with a warning if there is not enough space to switch to the large model.
  • Georgian Walls: Added decorative Georgian wall blocks across supported standard, aged, ashlar, herringbone, and weave CTM textures. Walls connect in straight and diagonal runs for cleaner architectural boundary details.
  • Missing Rusticated Blocks: Added missing walls and 90-degree stairs to rusticated textures.
  • Mod Menu Integration: Added a new in-game settings menu for ERYDON. This includes settings for light levels, tooltip delay, loading messages, /recalc command options, and Continuity/connected texture behaviour. It also adds a texture gallery with resource-pack-aware previews, material descriptions, and texture variant selectors. The Inspiration page includes showcase images plus quick Email and Discord links for sharing builds.
  • Animated Creative Tab Logo: Erydon’s creative tab emblem is now animated, with subtle vein motion and shifting gold light. The built-in 16x Lite and 64x PBR resource pack versions have matching animated emblems.
  • Free 64x Pack when submitting build screenshots through email or Discord, see the Inspiration page of the new Modmenu.

Improved

  • Porosity Support: Updated stone specular maps with realistic LabPBR porosity values across the main stone textures, including special handling for pit pixels. Compatible shader information can be found here: https://shaderlabs.org/wiki/LabPBR_Supported_Packs. Not all shaders have been tested, so please report unexpected results on Discord: https://discord.gg/MaqUvVgTFm
  • REI and JEI Integration: Expanded support for REI and JEI so ERYDON blocks are easier to browse and search. REI now uses improved Erydon ordering, block-type collapsible groups, and browsable subsets. Both REI and JEI gain better search terms such as thin, steps, ramp, glass, and trim.
  • Vanilla Creative Tab Ordering: Reworked the ERYDON creative tab so blocks are no longer shown in raw registration order. Blocks are now grouped by material/texture family first, then by related shape variants, making it easier to browse a full set like Aganite, Ashlar, stairs, layers, slopes, windows, and lights together.
  • Swap Command Families: /erydon swap now supports swapping entire texture families. For example, swapping the Latmion family for Psamatheon will replace aged Latmion with aged Psamatheon, Latmion ashlar with Psamatheon ashlar, and so on, while preserving each block’s shape, type, and other shared settings.
  • Swap Command Undo: Added /erydon swap undolast, which restores the most recent successful swap in the current world. Undo is kept until another swap is run or the server restarts.
  • Shader Compatibility: Improved shader compatibility for French Georgian and arch windows. Window glass now renders as translucent while stone and lead parts render as solid, which should reduce mismatched frame textures with shader packs such as Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders and Proton Shaders.
  • Romanesque Arch: Romanesque arches now expose width as a real debug-stick setting with values 1, 2, and 3. /recalc preserves the chosen width across the connected cluster. They also support waterlogged as a debug-stick property, applying it to submerged parts of the cluster. Normal right-click now toggles the circular column model set, while sneak right-click is reserved for placing blocks against the arch.
  • Blockstate Optimisation: Improved loading performance for complex modular blocks. Repeated blockstate data has been reduced, with repeated visual logic moved into a lighter client-side rendering system. This also reduces the mod jar size, helping resource loading feel cleaner and faster. No gameplay behaviour, placement logic, textures, or resource-pack visuals were intentionally changed.
  • Smooth Slopes: Slopes now use a custom baked renderer, giving the full slope family clean faces instead of stepped slices. This includes shallow, steep, vertical, and corner variants. Placement and corner behaviour remain the same, while ERYDON's lightweight slope CTM keeps connected textures, PBR materials, and texture continuity working across supported slope materials. This update also improves slope rendering performance.
  • Connected Textures: ERYDON’s optimised CTM mode now recognises more third-party Continuity/OptiFine-style rules, including rules that target textures rather than block IDs. This improves compatibility with packs and mods such as Conquest Reforged.
  • Conquest Grass Compatibility: Improved compatibility with Conquest Reforged and ArdaGrass so grass detail models no longer render far too high when used with ERYDON. Conquest grass should now keep its small raised detail effect without ERYDON’s custom CTM handling exaggerating it.
  • Circular Columns: Circular columns now have a third capital style based on the narrow base shape flipped upward. Side right-click cycles the base or capital style, while top clicks and sneak side-clicks remain available for placing more blocks.
  • Interaction Polish: Several shape blocks now follow a more consistent interaction pattern. Side right-click edits or cycles the block, while top/bottom clicks and sneak side-clicks are kept for placement. This applies to columns, vertical shallow slopes, windows, posts, vertical layers, and slice-style blocks.
