EpicWands Reforged v2.20.3 — Fabric
Minecraft 26.3
EpicWands Reforged has officially moved to Minecraft 26.3.
Version 2.20.3 ports the large v2.18.2 content expansion to the new Minecraft version while also introducing several new Inverse features, new animals, improved settlement farming, updated world generation and a large number of compatibility, rendering and gameplay fixes.
Minecraft 26.3 Support
EpicWands Reforged has been updated for the internal changes introduced with Minecraft 26.3.
Updated compatibility includes:
- Minecraft 26.3 support
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5+
- Fabric API 0.160.7+
- Java 25+
- Updated 26.3 registry handling
- Updated entity and item APIs
- Updated world-generation systems
- Updated block and vegetation compatibility
- Updated mining hooks
- Updated brewing system
- Updated client rendering systems
Several old 26.2 APIs were replaced or removed in Minecraft 26.3, requiring parts of EpicWands Reforged to be migrated or rebuilt.
New Inverse Farm Animals
The Inverse now has its own versions of Minecraft's familiar farm animals.
Added:
- Inverse Cow
- Inverse Sheep
- Inverse Pig
- Inverse Chicken
- Inverse Goat
- Inverse Rabbit
- Inverse Horse
- Inverse Donkey
- Inverse Mule
- Inverse Llama
- Inverse Mooshroom
All new animals include:
- Dedicated Inverse variants
- Custom textures
- Spawn eggs
- Dedicated loot tables
- Natural spawning inside The Inverse
- Support for normal animal behaviour
Vanilla farm animals spawning inside The Inverse are now replaced by their dedicated Inverse counterparts.
Biome-Specific Animal Spawning
Inverse farm animals do not simply spawn identically everywhere.
Animal distribution has been adjusted depending on the biome.
For example:
- Common farm animals such as cows, sheep, pigs and chickens have higher general spawn rates.
- Static Wastes has significantly reduced passive animal spawning.
- Obsidian Crown focuses more heavily on goats, llamas and rabbits.
- Inverse Mooshrooms are limited to suitable environments such as Gloomwood Hollows, The Drowned Veil and Ashen Mirrorwood.
This gives the different Inverse biomes more distinct ecosystems.
Inverse Animal Grazing
Grazing behaviour has been adapted for The Inverse.
Animals that normally interact with grass can now recognize appropriate Inverse terrain.
Supported terrain includes Inverse grass-like blocks, Void Moss and matching turf blocks.
Grazed terrain converts correctly into Inverse Dirt rather than vanilla dirt.
Improved Inverse Horses
Inverse Horses now have their own visual handling instead of simply appearing as normal Overworld horses.
Horse rendering and skin support have been updated for the new Inverse animal system.
Inverse Settlement Farming Improvements
Inverse settlements now make better use of the crops introduced in v2.18.2.
Vanilla crops inside settlement farms can automatically be replaced by Inverse crops.
Depending on the original crop and farm layout, settlements can now contain:
- Voidroot
- Ashbloom
- Paleberries
Vanilla wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot and other farm crops can be transformed into appropriate Inverse equivalents while maintaining their growth stage.
This helps settlements feel like they actually belong inside The Inverse instead of using standard Overworld farms.
Inverse Lava Update
The custom Inverse lava system has been updated for Minecraft 26.3.
This includes support for:
- Inverse Lava
- Flowing Inverse Lava
- Inverse Lava blocks
- Inverse Lava Bucket
- Updated liquid block handling
The system has been adapted to the Minecraft 26.3 fluid and registry changes.
Inverse Terrain Tool Interactions
Several normal Minecraft tool interactions have been restored or improved for custom Inverse blocks.
Axe Stripping
Inversewood Logs can once again be stripped correctly using axes.
Path Creation
Using a shovel on an Inverse Grass Block can create an Inverse Path.
These interactions were migrated to the updated Fabric block transformation APIs used by Minecraft 26.3.
Inverse Path Rendering Fix
Fixed a rendering issue with Inverse Path blocks.
Because the path model is slightly lower than a full block, adjacent full blocks could incorrectly have their side faces culled.
This caused visible gaps along the edge of paths where players could see through the terrain.
The block rendering behaviour has been updated so adjacent terrain now renders correctly.
No more x-ray seams between Inverse Paths and normal full blocks.
Inverse Atmosphere Update
The custom visual atmosphere used inside The Inverse has been adapted to Minecraft 26.3's updated post-processing system.
The Inverse continues to use its dedicated visual mood instead of appearing like a standard Minecraft dimension.
Brewing System Migration
Minecraft 26.3 changed parts of the brewing system.
EpicWands' custom potions have therefore been migrated to the new data-driven brewing recipe system.
The existing EpicWands potion and status-effect system remains available, including normal, Splash and Lingering variants.
This includes effects such as:
- Soul Sight
- Voidstep
- Arcane Focus
- Spell Power
- Soulfire Resistance
- Gravebind
- Stormblood
- Deep Mining
- Ore Sense
- Weightlessness
- Crooked Sense
- Miner's Fortune
- Treasure Sense
- Warding
- Arcane Overload
- and more
World Generation Migration
Minecraft 26.3 made major changes to its world-generation feature system.
EpicWands' world generation has been updated to use the newer data-driven system where necessary.
Migrated systems include content related to:
- Inverse terrain
- Inverse ores
- Inverse vegetation
- Inverse biome landforms
- Ashwood trees
- Duskwood trees
- Gloomwood trees
- Settlement trees
- Charged Nether blocks
- Arcanite Ore
- Void Crystal Ore
- Inverse Lava lakes
This allows EpicWands' expanded world-generation systems to continue working correctly under Minecraft 26.3.
Mining Compatibility Fixes
Minecraft 26.3 changed the internal Block.playerDestroy parameters from regular Level/Player references to their server-specific equivalents.
EpicWands' Mining Magic system and mining mixins have been updated accordingly.
Existing functionality such as Magnetic Pickup and the custom mining systems remains intact.
Arcanite Hoe Compatibility
Minecraft 26.3 removed the old HoeItem implementation used by previous versions.
The Arcanite Hoe has been migrated to the newer item-property based hoe system.
Its existing tool functionality and properties are retained.
Inverse Leaves Compatibility
Inverse Leaves have been updated for Minecraft 26.3's new LeavesBlock constructor.
This resolves the startup error caused by the old Minecraft 26.2 constructor no longer existing.
Registry & Worldgen Fixes
Several remaining registry references have been migrated to Minecraft 26.3.
This includes fixes for:
- Inverse Forests
- Inverse Settlements
- Configured world features
- Custom biome features
- Tree generation
- Ore generation
- Custom vegetation
Old CONFIGURED_FEATURE references have been replaced where required by the new Minecraft 26.3 registry system.
Infusion Altar Compatibility
Internal weather access used by the Infusion Altar has been updated for Minecraft 26.3.
This ensures altar behaviour that depends on world/weather information remains compatible with the new server-level implementation.
