A mod introducing regional specialization for the main passive and hostile mobs.

Description

Ephyria Geographical Spawn introduces a geographic specialization of mob spawning and breeding. It affects the main mobs, including passive creatures (cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, goats) and hostile creatures (Creepers, zombies, skeletons, spiders, endermen, witches). For each species, the mod defines:

- Restricted Biomes : Specific biomes where they cannot spawn or breed.
- Standard Biomes : Biomes where they spawn and breed at vanilla rates.
- Boosted Biomes : Biomes where they spawn at 0.5x the normal rate but can still breed normally.

The biome lists for each species have been carefully balanced based on both realism and game design principles, to make the world immersive and interesting to play.

In Singleplayer, this mod encourages world exploration to gather all necessary resources. However, this mod was primarily designed for large-scale servers, where it allows :

- Labor Specialization : Players specialize their production based on their local biome.
- Inter-regional Trade : Encourages the development of a player-driven economy between different regions.
- Regional Variety : Diverse farm designs and defense strategies depending on local wildlife and threats.
It is a mod built to foster commerce, economy, and interaction on multiplayer servers.

Compatibility
Originally developed for the Ephyria SMRP server, this mod is natively compatible with:

- Terralith
- Villager Workers
-
Better Breeding
-
Better Addons
-
Serene Seasons

However, the mod functions perfectly fine as a standalone experience without these dependencies !

If you enjoy this mechanic, we highly recommend checking out "Ephyria Geographical Crops" and "Ephyria Geographical Ores", which apply the same specialization mechanic to crops growth and ores generation.
