Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
- Fixed: While True Shadow held time frozen ("Supremacy"), the delayed components of his own techniques would also remain suspended until the freeze ended—such as Omnipresence dashes, Blades of the Seven's Judgment, the backswing of the Scythe, etc. Now, the world remains frozen, but his techniques unfold as usual.
- Duels:
- "Abilities" setting: all / no ultimates / none - fists and weapons only;
- "Items" setting: swords, axes, heavy weapons, bows, shields, potions, golden apples, pearls, totems, and food can be enabled or disabled. Disabled items cannot be used, and disabled weapons cannot be used to attack. - Damage:
- the Strength effect now boosts abilities and moves (+15% per level), while Weakness reduces them (−20% per level);
- melee moves use the weapon's base damage (and Sharpness) rather than the total attack stat;
- abilities gain +3% damage for every point of damage from the weapon held in hand. - Combos. Each ability (there are over a hundred, including melee moves) plays a specific role in a combo. Target states created by certain abilities and utilized by others include:
- Launch the target is airborne and can be juggled;
- Slam strikes an airborne target downward, causing the ground to bounce them back up (once per sequence); knocks the target down if used on the ground;
- Knockback if the target hits a wall, they splat against it and become stunned;
- Pull - the target is pulled right up close;
- Stun - the target cannot attack or cast spells; a "Pierce" attack against a stunned target deals Counter-damage (+30%);
- Knockdown - a prolonged stun; "Launch" attacks deal extra damage to a downed target and lift it into the air (once per combo);
- Mark - unique to each character (e.g., Beta’s "Chronicle"); abilities from the same character with the "Detonate" role trigger an explosion on the marked target (+40%);
- Finisher - its power scales with combo length (up to +60%); it concludes the combo and knocks the target down.
- A stunned player cannot attack, cast spells, or roll; a knocked-down player also cannot move. - Heavy weapons (axes, maces, tridents, and any weapon with an attack speed of 1.2 or lower, including modded ones) feature a unique set of moves and animations: "Heavy Swing" (wide sweep followed by an overhead chop), "Ground Split" (knocks everyone down), "Whirlwind," and "Rising Strike" (launches enemies into the air). Each attack involves a genuine wind-up, and the cooldown depends on the weapon's attack speed—meaning they cannot be spammed.
