Spirits have started appearing in the world of Minecraft, and it's up to the player to put a stop to it.

The most common of them are the ghosts.These little spirits can be tamed with ectoplasm, a resource that they also drop. They spawn rarely in the overworld, but they are nice little friends to have around. They can be trapped in your inventory with an empty bottle.

A riskier source of Ectoplasm is the Damned Reapers.

They are vengeful specters that spawn only in the Nether. Though weak, they are not alone, as they share the realm with their larger counterparts: The Big Reaper.

The Big Reapers are tougher versions of the Damned Reapers and are the only way to obtain a Wayward Soul.

Now, Ectoplasm has a few uses. Like taming ghosts and making Soul Sand and Soul Bricks.

However, its most notable use is creating Spectral Leather.

Spectral Leather is used to craft Spectral Leggings (which give you high jumps and slow falling) and Flesh Totems.

The Flesh Totem is... kind of gross.. When placed on a block it summons some empty vessel. But if you have a ghost in your inventory, perhaps you can give it life. Maybe even tame it with ectoplasm.

The time has finally come to go directly to the source of these spirits. Using a portal made out of Soul Bricks and lit with a Wayward Soul, you'll enter the Null Plains.

The Null Plains is home to many more entities, but before anything else, you must defeat the Spirit Walker.

The Spirit Walker itself is a passive boss that'll spawn roughly 250 blocks away from the player. It can't be harmed through normal means. The little ghosts that it spawns are the key. Using any sword to hit these ghosts will direct them back at the boss.

When the Walker dies, it will drop an amazing weapon: The Lightning Bow.

It's pretty self-explanatory.
