A new take on the Drit mod with focus on balance and QOL on the backend. Like Snad, but drit.

Description

Another mod in my Re[FORGE]d series. Much like the remake and overhaul I had previously done on Snad, this is a new take on the Drit mod with a focus on Balance.

Drit:

For those of you unfamiliar with Drit. It's based on the snad mod that makes sand crops grow faster and grow at an extremely fast pace when supplied with redstone pulses. But aimed at crops that grow on farmland. (Snad - Re[FORGE]d only has the latter feature in it's 3 renditions of Snad as the first was considered redundant)

In this mod rather than mess with tickrates (Something I'm generally against doing as in my experimenting something usually goes awry) on every redstone pulse there is a 10% chance to apply a bonemeal action to the crop or sapling above. Without the need for water to be nearby. (As a tradeoff 2 buckets of water are included in the crafting recipe.)

Crafting Recipe:

Due to the original recipe being too overpowered I've made an attempt at balancing it using a practical set of ingredients that shouldn't make the prospect of near infinite food too powerful for players.

Please comment below if you believe I should tweak this recipe as I'm always willing to take feedback.

Drit Crafting Recipe.

Compatibility:

Drit is compatible with the VAST majority of modded crops and saplings. As long as they're plantable on farmland or dirt and bonemeal can be used to grow them, then they work.

Tested with multiple modded crops and saplings already.

Unexpected and unintended interactions:

Due to a change in minecraft implemented in 1.16, Vanilla tree Saplings do not work despite modded saplings working. So if you want to use this for a wood farm it is advised to use it in conjunction with a mod that adds lots of biomes and Trees such as Biomes O' Plenty. - I currently have NO plans to fix this as I am currently unsure how, but if I find a way in the future; I will fix it.

Due to how minecraft handles Stem plants (Pumpkin and Melon), these will grow from seed all the way up to the fully grown stem but will take the usual amount of time to develop the produce block. As such it is highly advisable to not use these with Drit.

Because of how the bonemeal action is applied, an unintended interaction is that it's applied to ANY block placed above it. Meaning if some other mod provides a non crop block that does something when right clicked with bonemeal - then it will cause this action to happen. Do with that information what you will.

Modpack Creators and Modders:

You DO NOT, have to ask to use this mod in your modpacks. Please feel free to go ahead and do so. Feel free to PM me a link if you end up publishing a modpack to curseforge using this or one of my other mods. I would love to see what people put together.

Once again this is compatible with the VAST majority of vanilla and modded crops and modded saplings. But if any modders are having trouble with making their crops compatible then feel free to message me and I'll see if I can help.
