Distant roars
This mod adds technology in a way that I see Mojang would have done it by adding on existing features and keeping an intuitive feel.
You start the mod by capturing (right-clicking) a shulker with a capturing UFO. This UFO will now power all of your machinery, so make sure to keep it in good condition. At this moment in time there are 2 other machines, explosives, a custom blockset, and a new baby dragon. I tried my best to make all the features I put in as polished as they could be. The rest of the mod I will not spoil here. All information about the mod will be on this page and in the Minecraft advancements tab.
This will keep updatign after the modjam ends. Expect things like: custom sounds (something I have never tried), more machines, extra features for the baby dragons, more dragon skins, and some more decorative blocks.
When I saw the theme for this modjam i desided on something more than just machines. I wanted to make the player work together with mobs to create and advance. That seemed to me like the most interesting future for the minecraft world.
how to use features and info (advised to read ;)
- to use the shulker ufo to charge a machine you nedd to place it next to the machine with one block between them (and let the UFO face the direction of the machine).
- For the portal mining laser to work it needs to have 3 shulker charges in it and facing the direction of a end gateaway with one block of space between them. That way you are only a right click away of obtaining the void essence.
- To see the explosion from the draconic tnt in all its glory from a scenic distance it is adviced to up your "entity distance" in the video settings tab to 300% (when the explosion has happened you can always turn it down again.
- The 2 dragon transmog tokens and the dragon treat can only be found in endcity loot chests
- Keep in mind they are baby's so they can not fly
- Geckolib is required
- Just enough items is reccomanded for the recipes
