DSC 1.2.0 — Fabric Decoupling
Separates storage, permissions, persistence and migration logic from the Fabric adapter, establishing shared code for the new Forge version. The Fabric build preserves its existing item storage encoding.
Changes
- Moved shared storage and migration logic behind loader-specific adapters while preserving Fabric transaction and nested rollback behavior.
- Reuse inventory views and transaction adapters, and reduce repeated item-key conversions during extraction and migration.
- Preserve settled migration progress when stopped, with rollback protection for rejected and partial transfers.
- Mark the Fabric build filename with
fabricto distinguish it from the Forge download.
Known limitations
- Some migration and heavy hopper benchmarks still have higher CPU costs than Fabric 1.1.14. I’ll continue optimizing these in later patches; this release does not promise an overall CPU or TPS improvement.
- Cross-loader world conversion has not been verified. A separate Forge build does not make existing Fabric worlds automatically portable.
