Are you short on iron at the beginning of the game, or does it lack a worthy alternative? Or maybe you need new decorative blocks? Then download Depth of Galore, and your problems will be solved in an instant!
This mod focuses on adding new content to caves (and beyond), bringing new ores, structures, and small gameplay changes to the game.
The mod is planned to be further developed, but for now it's only available for version 1.20.1. There's also a plan to port the mod to 1.21.1 using NeoForge.
You're allowed to use this mod in modpacks and to port it to Fabric (or other mod loaders, but only if you include a link to the original mod).

Metal ore
The metal can replace iron in some crafting recipes (like anvil, hopper, smithing table) and can also be used to craft decorative blocks.

Copper gear
Copper armor and tools, that are the same as vanilla copper gear in newer versions of the game

Metal armor and tools, with parameters somewhere between gold, iron, and copper
