What's new

D.A.I. Engine 3.4

Changes from 3.3 → 3.4

Action & Automation Runtime

  • Expanded the DAI action execution pipeline for more reliable runtime behavior.
  • Action conditions are now evaluated immediately before individual queued actions execute.
  • Improved tracking of previous action results for conditional branches such as last_action_success and last_action_failure.
  • Improved action queue state handling, sequencing, delays, and conditional skipping.
  • Expanded action validation, permissions, registry, resolver, and governor systems.
  • Improved failure handling so individual action failures are contained without corrupting the full automation queue.

Condition Engine

  • Major expansion of DAI's condition framework.
  • Condition groups now share a captured Minecraft context instead of repeatedly rebuilding world/player state.
  • Added centralized typed comparison handling for Boolean, Number, and String condition values.
  • Expanded supported comparison operators including:
    • equals
    • not_equals
    • less_than
    • less_than_or_equal
    • greater_than
    • greater_than_or_equal
    • equals_ignore_case
    • contains
    • starts_with
    • ends_with
    • is_true
    • is_false
  • Expanded grouped condition logic with all, any, none, and not.
  • Added condition nesting/evaluation safeguards to prevent runaway condition trees.
  • Expanded conditions covering player state, movement, positioning, geometry, targets, entities, inventory, equipment, tags, world state, environment, combat, effects, navigation, advancements, knowledge, configuration, customization, reactions, and extensions.

Reaction System

  • Expanded the DAI reaction framework with dedicated runtime dispatching.
  • Added reaction contexts, phases, outcomes, event definitions, registries, and validation.
  • Improved integration between reactions, conditions, and actions.
  • Added safer dispatch-session handling for chained/reactive gameplay behavior.

Creator & Development Tools

  • Expanded DAI Creator functionality.
  • Improved Automation Creator runtime and editing support.
  • Added dedicated creator tooling and validation for more DAI-defined systems.
  • Improved live creation/editing workflows for actions and automation JSON definitions.

Runtime API & State

  • Expanded the DAI runtime API and capability framework.
  • Added/expanded typed runtime state storage and references.
  • Improved client/server state synchronization.
  • Expanded networking for server actions, mutations, creator actions, state synchronization, and vehicle input.

Engine Architecture

  • Continued separation of definitions, registries, loaders, validation, and runtime execution.
  • Expanded modular logic systems for actions, conditions, reactions, navigation, recognition, content, customization, and extensions.
  • Improved runtime safety, logging, validation, and failure isolation across DAI systems.
  • Numerous internal cleanup and stability improvements in preparation for larger DAI-powered experiences.

Compatibility

  • Built for Minecraft 26.2.
  • Maintains the DAI datapack/resource-pack driven architecture introduced in the 3.x series.
