After a long hiatus a new update for Project Dawn has been released! Still in its testing phases, and a lot was added and removed.
What the update brings:)
Blaze bombs
- A new projectile that can be thrown
- Causes a small explosion with fire, but does not destroy blocks
- These can be crafted with...
one blaze powder, paper, gun powder, and string
Instruments
- Two instruments are added to this update, the harp and the flute!
- Play until your heart's content by holding down the right click and looking up and down to change pitch
Repeaters
- A new range weapon that was based on the dual crossbows from Minecraft Dungeons
- Faster shooting, but weaker damage
- A weapon designed more for off hand use, but can be dual wielded if they are two different types of repeaters
Battleaxes
- Tweaked and given more of a purpose
- Has great knockback, but slower swings
- Can disable shields
- Does not do the sweeping edge attack
Axeblades
- A combination of a battleaxe and a sword, also inspired by "The Great Axeblade" from Minecraft Dungeons
- Can disable shields
- Does the sweeping edge attack
- Has great knockback, but slower swings
- Currently unattainable
Magic Weapons and Related Stuff
- Have been tweaked
- Rubies have been added
- All magic weapons are unattainable at the moment
Artifact Weapons
- A series of weapons that do great damage and have unique perks
- The Enderlord is a scythe that will teleport the enemy around upon being hit
- The Demon Slayer sword is a sword that will grant the player health when hitting enemies
- The Infinite Bond is a sword that never breaks
- The Spellbound and Baby repeaters are from Minecraft Dungeons, but lack any unique perk
- These are unattainable at the moment due to balancing and testing reasons
Firebrand and Icebrand Toolsets
- Two new toolsets have been added
- Firebrand and Icebrand are the tier that comes after Netherite, but have their own unique perks
- Firebrand can set mobs on fire, and Icebrand can slow mobs down (Icebrand may be tweaked after 1.17 due to the new Freezing debuff)
- Firebrand tools cannot be burned in lava or fire
- Firebrand is the only one currently obtainable through survival, but the means of getting it may be tweaked if it's too annoying/frustrating
General Changes
- Textures tweaked or completely redesigned
- Various balancing tweaks
- Fixed ore generation issues
Known Bugs
- The particles for the Emerald staff and the Ruby staff don't disappear
- Missing textures for the molten ingot, ignited netherite ingot, water specter, and guitar
- Certain items appear darkened in inventory and chest slots (this may be a bug with forge)
- Repeaters do not work with tipped or spectral arrows
- The infinity enchantment does not work with repeaters
- Arcane crystals have black boarder around them when placed
I hope you enjoy the update! Sorry if it's not much, I had to completely restart from scratch due to my computer bricking itself and losing all the progress I made from the last two releases. This is in testing phase, so report any bugs in the comment section and I'll make note of them. Any feedback or ideas will be much appreciated! :)
