Exactly as advertised, you can change the blocks you could build a nether portal with and the blocks generated with connected portals in config.
You could customize the options in customportalframe-common.toml.
By default, it sets the list to obsidian, crying obsidian and blackstone, therefore you could fix a ruined portal easier and have access to cheap portals once you accessed nether.
It also makes generated connected portal made with blackstone so you can't farm obsidian from it.
Though this mod still have uses as it is, it's mostly for modpack creators. You can use this in any of your modpack without asking whatsoever. This mod is ARR only because I have yet to figure out how to use github.
You can:
[ Make the generated portal something worthless if you want obsidian to be precious
[ Make the generated portal something useful if you have funny production line ideas
[ Make the portal frame something requires effort to lock the nether for late stages
[ Make the portal frame something trivial to make it even easier to access nether
[ Make the portal frame an empty list or unobtainable blocks to disable it
[ Multiple different blocks could be used for one portal, so if you really feel like it you can pull off a 'End Remastered' one on your poor players (You have to be sure you cannot obtain copies of block though)
