CuisineCraft expands Minecraft with new crops, ingredients, meals, cooking tools, ocean creatures, a working Fryer, a hands-on Cutting Board and now a whole Sushi cuisine. Grow fresh produce, catch shrimp, chop ingredients, prepare multi-step recipes and build the kitchen or restaurant of your dreams!

✨ What’s New in Version 0.0.7?

🔪 Cutting Board

• Added the Cutting Board, a placeable 3D block for preparing ingredients
• Place an ingredient on the board, then cut it with a Knife, one slice at a time
• Each ingredient needs a different number of cuts, with sounds and particles on every cut
• The ingredient is visible lying on the board
• Everything that used to be "chopped" in the crafting grid is now prepared on the board: Fries, Raw Patty and Breadcrumbs
• Added Chopped Tomato, now used in Tomato Soup (the soup no longer needs a Knife in the crafting grid)

🍣 Sushi

• Added two new crops: Wasabi and Soybeans
• Added new ingredients: Nori, Cooked Rice, Rice Vinegar, Sushi Rice, Soy Sauce, Wasabi Paste, Raw Salmon Fillet and Raw Cod Fillet
• Added the Bamboo Sushi Mat, a reusable rolling tool
• Added new dishes: Kappa Maki, California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Salmon Nigiri, Cod Nigiri and the Sushi Set
• Sushi pieces are eaten quickly, like dried kelp
• The Sushi Set is the most filling meal in the mod and grants Water Breathing for 60 seconds

🔧 Other Changes

• Removed the "Worlds using Experimental Settings" warning when creating or loading a world (Minecraft 1.21.1 and Fabric 1.20.1)
• Wasabi Roots and Soybeans can now drop when breaking grass

🔪 Cutting Board

The Cutting Board is your new prep station.

How to use it:

1. Right-click the board with an ingredient to place it on top
2. Right-click with a Knife to cut. Each cut uses 1 durability point
3. After enough cuts, the finished product pops out of the board
4. Right-click with an empty hand to take the ingredient back

The board must be placed on a solid block. If you try to place something that can't be cut, you will get a message above your hotbar.

Recipe: 3 wooden slabs in the bottom row and a stick in the top-right corner.

🍣 Sushi

Ingredients

• Nori — 3 Dried Kelp in a row make 2 sheets
• Cooked Rice — cook Rice in a Furnace, Smoker or on a Campfire
• Rice Vinegar — Rice, Rice, Sugar, a Glass Bottle and a Water Bucket
• Sushi Rice — 2 Cooked Rice and Rice Vinegar make 2 Sushi Rice (the bottle is returned)
• Soy Sauce — 3 Soybeans, Salt, a Glass Bottle and a Water Bucket
• Raw Salmon / Cod Fillet — cut fish on the Cutting Board
• Wasabi Paste — cut a Wasabi Root on the Cutting Board
• Bamboo Sushi Mat — 3 Bamboo / 3 String / 3 Bamboo. It stays in the crafting grid and loses durability with each use (64 uses)

Dishes

Minecraft 1.12.2 note: that version has no kelp, bamboo, smoker or campfire. Nori is made by smelting a Lily Pad (2 sheets), the Sushi Mat uses Sugar Cane instead of bamboo, and Rice is cooked in a Furnace only.

🍔 Food and Ingredients

Burgers

• Hamburger — a classic burger made with fresh ingredients
• Cheeseburger — a Hamburger topped with American Cheese
• Double Cheeseburger — double the patties and double the cheese
• Shrimp Burger — Crispy Shrimp, vegetables and ketchup in a Wheat Bun
• Wheat Bun — the base for every burger
• American Cheese — used in Cheeseburgers and Double Cheeseburgers
• Raw Patty — cut from raw beef on the Cutting Board
• Patty — Raw Patty cooked in a furnace

Shrimp Dishes

• Raw Shrimp — dropped by Shrimp living in ocean biomes
• Cooked Shrimp — Raw Shrimp cooked in a furnace
• Breadcrumbs — cut from bread on the Cutting Board
• Breaded Shrimp — Raw Shrimp coated with Breadcrumbs and Salt
• Crispy Shrimp — Breaded Shrimp cooked in the Fryer
• Shrimp Fried Rice — Rice, Cooked Shrimp, Onion, Salt and Stock in a Bowl. Returns the bowl after eating

Other Food

• Fries — cut potatoes on the Cutting Board, fry them in the Fryer and pack them into Small, Medium or Big portions
• Tomato Soup — Chopped Tomatoes, Stock and water in a Bowl
• Rice — harvested from Rice Plants and edible on its own
• Ketchup and Mustard — reusable condiment bottles with limited durability
• Salt — obtained by mining underground Salt Ore

🌊 Shrimp

Shrimp are aquatic creatures found naturally in ocean biomes.

They:

• Spawn in groups near the ocean floor
• Stay close to the seabed
• Occasionally dart forward
• Cannot survive on land
• Drop Raw Shrimp and experience when killed
• Can also be spawned with a Shrimp Spawn Egg

Shrimp do not spawn in rivers or lakes.

🌱 Crops and Farming

• Tomato Plant — produces fresh Tomatoes
• Cucumber Plant — produces crunchy Cucumbers
• Onion Plant — produces Onions used in many dishes
• Mustard Plant — provides ingredients for Mustard
• Rice Plant — a water crop grown in shallow water
• Wasabi — new! plant a Wasabi Root, harvest 2–4 roots
• Soybeans — new! plant Soybeans, harvest 3–6 beans

Most seeds (including Wasabi Roots and Soybeans) are found by breaking grass. Rice Seeds must be planted on suitable ground beneath shallow water. Fully grown crops give multiple ingredients and new seeds.

🛠️ Cooking Tools

• Cutting Board — new! a block for chopping ingredients with a Knife
• Knife — used on the Cutting Board, loses durability instead of being consumed
• Bamboo Sushi Mat — new! used to roll maki, stays in the crafting grid
• Spatula — an essential tool in burger recipes
• Bowl — used for soups, stock and Shrimp Fried Rice
• Stock — a base ingredient for soups and rice dishes

⛏️ Salt Ore

Salt Ore generates underground in the Overworld. Mine it to get Salt, a seasoning used in many recipes. Salt Ore supports both Fortune and Silk Touch.

🍳 Fryer

The Fryer is the heart of your kitchen!

It works like a furnace but uses dedicated frying recipes. Add fuel and the right ingredient to prepare:

• Fried Fries
• Crispy Shrimp
• More fried foods are planned for future updates
