MOD IS LOW QUALITY AND ABANDONED AS I AM WORKING ON A BETTER, NEW CRYPTID MOD!!!!

FOR THE TIME BEING, I RECCOMEND THE MOD CRYPTOZOOLOGICRAFT BY ALEXIS3984! THE MOD "BOX OF HORRORS" ALSO FEATURES A GOOD MOTHMAN & NOT-DEER MOB AND "CRITTERS N' CRAWLERS" BY FAE_STRICKEN_FOOL HAS SOME CRYPTIDS TOO!

From the creator of the 90k+ download horror character mod Oh, the Horror!, Cryptids & Conspiracies adds rare and mysterious cryptids to your world! Each cryptid has a spawn weight of 1, in other words, they are three times rarer than witches! (this is subject to change in the future)

As someone who loves cryptids and everything related to them, I've always wanted a mod that adds both popular and obscure cryptozoological creatures to the game for me to look for. So, why not make it myself, right?

It's heavily recommended that this mod is used with both a nature enhancement mod (like [Let's Do] Blooming Nature) and a camera mod (like Exposure)!

Currently the cryptids don't drop anything, but this will change with the future implementation of the Evidence system (see the Coming Soon list for more info).

Just like the cryptids themselves, I will not reveal much about the specific cryptids in the mod (except Bigfoot, obviously he's gonna be in a cryptid mod!) That aside, I will give you a basic content overview:

  • Three different cryptids so far. - One forest cryptid, one snowy biome cryptid, and one plains cryptid

This is all the mod offers so far, but I work a lot on this mod and you can expect more content soon!

On that note...

Coming Soon:

  • More cryptids!
  • Config options
  • Evidence - items that may or may not prove the evidence of different cryptids and other unknown phenomena. On that topic.
  • New villager: the Cryptozoologist! They will accept evidence in return for emeralds and exclusive blocks, tools, and items! However, if the evidence proves to be fake, you may leave empty-handed and with an annoyed villager.
  • Fake craftable evidence with a very, very low chance of fooling the Cryptozoologist.
  • Mobs mistakable for cryptids- mangy wolves, barn owls, etc
  • Cryptids with appearance variations based on different encounters and incidents
  • Cryptids having more interaction with the world

Someone out there doesn't want you to find these things.
