Curse Maven Snippet
Update v0.2.0, the Sizeable Update, adds a new crate type, a new crate upgrade, various quality of life improvements, and a complete rework of how crates change types.
Features:
- Added iron crates. These crates can hold the same number of items as a double chest and are far less easy to accidently break or destroy. As with glass crates, these crates cannot be set on fire and have a higher toughness value than any previous crate. It will be added to the wiki soon with all the finer details.
- Added new iron supports upgrade. This new upgrade functions exactly like an iron crate, but with the added benefit and features of other crates. However, as with all upgrades, it makes the crate unable to be upgraded with something else. More information on the iron supports will also be added to the wiki soon.
- Added foundation items. These are now how crates will change types. Want to swap your glass crate for an oak one? Well, now you can! Information on these will also be on the wiki soon.
- Added various new recipes for iron crate, iron supports, and foundations. Iron supports actually have two recipes so make sure to try those out! Although, those two specifically may change in the future if a better idea comes along as I am not completely set on them.
- Added crate specific inventory titles. It now says, "Wood Crate" or "Glass Crate" at the top, instead of just "Crate"
- Added a config option to be able to change wood crates with wood foundations. This seemed fitting due to the ones already present for glass crates.
Changes:
- Changed how glass crates are acquired by adding foundations (as described above).
- Changed the config option for glass changing glass crates to now use foundations instead of glass.
- Changed how upgrades, foundations, and soap function in Creative mode by making sure the stack count does not shrink or reduce on use.
- Changed various backend functions to improve readability, flexibility, and overall performance. This can be found on GitHub.
Fixes:
- None for this update!
1.21.11 Specific:
- Updated NeoForge version to 21.11.42 for better stability as this is the first NeoForge version to be marked as stable.
- Note: This is likely the last mod version release for Minecraft version 1.21.11 as the new 26.1 drop has released and will take development priority from here on out. As always, the mod page will reflect the currently supported versions in the introduction section and will be changed once version support has been officially discontinued.
This update took quite a long time to produce due to various backend challenges. However, it does add quite a bit of utility to the mod and allows for a more user-friendly experience. Therefore, I hope it was worth the wait. I plan to release a few smaller updates in the future, before tackling another big update like this one, so new changes and features are more frequent.
