0.1.39
New
- Casings on this mod's blocks. Sneak + right-click with Andesite, Brass, Copper, Train or Industrial Iron Casing to dress a Functional Fob, Dashboard Controller, Axle Generator or Chunk Anchor Lever. The block keeps its shape and its working parts (the fob's ring, the lever's lamp, the controller's dial) and works as before. Sneak + empty hand takes the casing off and gives it back. Cased blocks keep their casing through breaking, explosions, disassembly, schematics and Schematicannon prints, and sound like their casing.
- Free mode. An optional setting (
casingMaterials = FREEin the mod's common config) lets any plain full block be used as a casing. Turning it off later keeps everything already dressed. - Encased Control Cables. Sneak + right-click a Dashpanels Control Cable with a casing to hide it inside. It still carries the dashboard's signal, on a train or in the world; sneak + empty hand gives the cable and the casing back.
- Steer by frequency. The Dashboard Controller's frequency mode has a fifth row, Steer: a weak signal (1-5) turns left at the next junction, a strong one (11-15) turns right.
- Brakes from any cab. A brake on any Dashboard Controller on the train stops it at any time, even while another cab is driving, and even against a player holding W at Create's own controls. It pauses a running schedule the way Create's controls do. Let go and the cab that was driving carries on.
- Freeze reports in the log. When the game freezes for more than half a second, the log says what it was busy with and whose code it was, so a lag report can name the cause.
Improved
- The wrench works on a buildable train's blocks as it does on the ground: copycats give back their material, blocks rotate and can be picked up, levers flip. To relocate a derailed or misplaced train, wrench one of its bogeys.
- Blaze burner conductors take a schedule, give it back and resume a paused one on a buildable train, as on a plain Create train, including cabs built after assembly.
- Create's Train Controls on a buildable train show their open panel and levers, and the levers move while you drive. Controls built on later open too, and trains made before this update get theirs opened the next time they load.
- A train with someone seated waits at the edge of loaded land instead of running into it, as a plain Create train does. This means less stutter at speed.
- The Chunk Anchor Lever's lamp lights only while the lever is really keeping the train loaded. When nothing is held it shows dim, and it never flickers on a quick flip.
- Quieter logs: warnings from this mod now mean something was lost, refused or should be reported.
Fixed
- With Where Winds Blow installed, rain and snow no longer fall through a train's roof.
- Create copycats keep their material when a buildable train is removed without disassembling it.
- Carry On could pick up a cable right after its casing was taken off; one press now makes one casing change.
- A false "drawn out of line" warning after a parked train came back into view is gone.
Known issue
- Do not relocate a train onto track built on a ship or a deck. It can crash the game; this will be fixed in the next update.
