What's new
0.1.2 — 2026-10-04
- This build refuses to start where 0.1.0 would have run. Sable must now be 2.0.5 or later on the 2.0 line (0.1.0 accepted anything from 2.0.0), and NeoForge must be 21.1.x (0.1.0 accepted newer lines too). If you see NeoForge's screen naming this mod and a version it wanted, nothing has touched your save — that screen comes up before any world loads. Update Sable, or stay on 0.1.0 until you can.
Fire. A buildable carriage could burn down, and taking a burning one apart could burn your station down with it.
- Fixed, could cost you an entire deck: fire ate what you built on a train. thought it would be nice if it didn't, Fire now goes out by itself on a carriage instead of spreading. (may become optional config)
- You can still light a fire on your own deck, and it still sets an animal standing in it alight. It just will not spread or eat the build, and it goes out after a second or two. Campfires, candles, lanterns, blaze burners and lighting TNT are untouched. An eternal fire on netherrack or magma no longer works, and a deck fire no longer lights TNT — both follow from the fix rather than being separate changes.
- Fixed, could burn down your station: taking a burning train apart carried the fire with it. A live fire was written into your station and spread into its blocks. Fire is no longer carried back, and anything it had replaced comes back as your own block.
- Two things fire can still do - A nether portal lit on a deck still works. And lava or water flowing across a deck still replaces carpets, rails, levers and torches — there is no hook for that, so if you put a lava or water source on a train, expect to lose what it flows over.
- The Debug diagnostics now reset when you rejoin a world. Quitting to the menu used to leave them quiet, with their old readings pinned to the wrong carriages. The wheel probe was worse — one reading per launch, so its own advice to "drive a few blocks and look again" needed a full restart of Minecraft.
- Two diagnostic lines were giving the wrong answer; both fixed. The
rail gapline prints two figures, tells you to believe the second, and then picked its verdict from the first — six of sixteen verdicts in one session came out wrong, in both directions. Andtick orderclaimed there was movement to measure while measuring none. Nothing about the mod changes, but if you ever quoted either line at me, the conclusion may have been backwards. My fault. - Gadgets and Gizmos is safe to install. Notes shipped in this mod told you not to, on the grounds that it could delete buildable trains. That was wrong, is withdrawn, and the behaviour blamed on it is Sable's own. Sorry for the mislabel.
0.1.1 — 2026-10-03
Six fixes, five of which could cost you blocks.
- Fixed, multiplayer: the wrench could put a build inside someone else's claim. Nothing checked build permission, and because blocks were written directly, land-claim mods could not see the placement at all. It now asks and refuses, keeping your selection so you can step clear. Single player unaffected.
- Fixed, could cost you blocks: placing a piece near the top or bottom of the world lost part of it — and told you in green that it all came back, while throwing away the record needed to retry. It now refuses before anything moves and keeps your selection.
- A placement that only partly works now says so. The piece is left exactly where it was, and you are told how many blocks went in and how many did not.
- Fixed, could cost you an entire build: an explosion deleted a carriage's blocks. A creeper or TNT beside a buildable train destroyed what you had built, and it did not come back on disassembly either. A blast can no longer touch a buildable carriage's blocks — it still happens, still hurts you, still breaks the world around the train. (may become optional config)
- Fixed, could cost you an entire build: breaking one block could delete a whole carriage. If a carriage was mostly things the physics engine treats as weightless — rails, torches, levers, carpets, the fob — then one block held the whole thing up, usually the bogey. Breaking it destroyed everything and dropped the items where no player can reach. Now refused, with a message telling you to take the train apart at a station instead. Deployers are refused too. It cannot cover an explosion, or a block falling away from underneath another — those go through nothing a mod can intercept. If you build a carriage with almost no weight in it, keep creepers away.
- Fixed, can cost you cargo: a discarded train gave back its blocks but not what was inside them. Vaults, basins, depots, belts and chutes all came back empty, because none of Create's storage blocks is a vanilla container. Contents are now returned, along with funnel and basin filters. Measured: 37 diamonds come back as exactly 37. Still not recovered, and the log now says when it happens: fluids, items in transit on a belt, and anything in a block offering no inventory at all.
- The log is much quieter. Two measurement lines printed every 30 seconds per carriage — about a thousand lines an hour on a long train — burying the
[CTF]lines this mod asks you to quote. They now speak a few times and then only when the number changes. Nothing stops being measured. - Three smaller things. The wrench now tells you a held selection puts itself down after twenty seconds. The page now says
/ctfneeds "Allow Cheats" in single player — you should not need it, the wrench is the recovery tool and needs no permission.
