What's new

1. COBBLEMON 1.8 PORT AND POKEMON DISPLAYS
- Repaired the Pokemon preview integration after moving from Cobblemon 1.7.3 to 1.8.0.
- Retained compatibility handling for Fabric intermediary names and NeoForge/Connector runtime names in the shared preview helpers.
- Created previews from species and appearance/aspect data rather than initializing gameplay Pokemon on the client. The same approach now serves the shop.
- Restored Pokemon pictures in banner pools, featured/rate-up slots and the per-Pokemon settings preview.
- Preserved idle animation with reusable animation state and a shared clock.
- Added fitting based on posed model bounds, quiet preview backgrounds, borders and transformed clipping so large and small Pokemon stay inside their windows.
- Restored rendering state after Pokemon draws to prevent later cards/text disappearing or malformed geometry spilling across the result screen.
- Missing models from absent add-on packs can legitimately use Cobblemon's substitute model. The user explicitly noted missing Mega Showdown/all-the-mons assets; this is not treated as a core preview failure.

2. ARCEUS WISH ITEM VISUALS
- Replaced the simple wish presentation with a custom 3D cosmic item renderer.
- Refined the central sphere and surrounding orbital structures and surface detail.
- Added genuine motion rather than relying only on the enchantment glint.
- Replaced awkward orbiting lines with three dimensional pixel-art comets.
- Added frame animation to all three comets; each has eight frames in the current renderer.
- Made the central shell Pokeball/Pokemon themed and translucent enough to reveal its interior.
- Removed the unwanted static stars stuck on the shell.
- Added pulsing Pokemon silhouettes in the core, then replaced the coarse silhouettes with finer outlines.
- Added a gently changing rainbow tint to the silhouettes and reduced the sphere's transparency slightly.
- Current silhouette set includes Pikachu, Eevee, Gengar, Charizard, Lucario and Mew. It is a curated rotating set, not every Pokemon.
- Kept silhouette artwork attribution in assets/cobbleserverutils/wish_silhouette_credits.txt.

3. BUTTONS, MENUS AND ALIGNMENT
- Added shared hover/press feedback and click-sound handling for immediate-mode controls.
- Polished the admin/close alignment and other control placements.
- Improved spacing around menu tabs, pull headings and card content.
- Added responsive scaling to the wish menu and virtual layout/input transforms for editor screens.
- Main banner/editor layouts use bounded design sizes with matching inverse mouse coordinates.
- Shop screens use a centered 900 x 600 design fitted to the available GUI area. Their click/release/drag coordinates use the same transform.
- The original settings picker is hosted at a fitted 1200 x 800 design size.
- Removed the shop's extra vanilla blur/background pass that obscured custom content.

4. POKEMON REWARD CARDS
- Added TCG-inspired holographic full-art backgrounds and decorated borders for Pokemon rewards, using Pokemon type information and rarity styling.
- Retained coverage for 18 single types and 153 unordered dual-type pairs, with three artwork finishes.
- Kept item reward cards distinct from Pokemon cards.
- Moved away from the initially rejected plain type background approach to the retained full-art/holographic direction.
- Preserved tier distinctions across Rare, Epic, Ultra and Legendary results.
- Added animated Pokemon previews to the cards.
- Added a smaller quiet, dark bordered preview window so bright artwork does not compete with the Pokemon.
- Fitted Pokemon dynamically and fixed rendering-state problems that previously caused later cards or text to vanish.
- Reworked single/multi-result placement and stat spacing to prevent text overflowing the card.

5. MANUAL CARD OPENING AND REVEAL EFFECTS
- Added face-down cards and manual click-to-flip opening, with reveal/continue controls.
- Added subtle ambient card effects and stronger Pokemon reveal effects by rarity.
- Added more prominent higher-tier flashes, particles, shockwaves and bounded screen shake.
- Preserved result order and reveal state instead of inventing rewards on the client.
- Kept the result display and stat presentation tied to server-delivered rewards.

6. AUDIO AND CHAT TIMING
- Added bundled synthesized flip/item/rarity reveal cues.
- Added music across the spinning and card phases, with lifecycle cleanup and continuity/replay handling.
- The retained music provenance identifies 'Let the Battles Begin!' by northivanastan, sourced from OpenGameArt and recorded as CC0 1.0. The project includes the surviving source/provenance files and synthesized audio. It is not a commercial Pokemon soundtrack.
- Preserved the game's mixer/volume integration.
- Delayed the pulling player's local result announcement until the matching card is revealed.
- Added handling for duplicate/late announcements and cleanup when closing/disconnecting, so pending local messages are not simply lost.
- This chat timing change is local to the pulling client; it is not a new server-wide broadcast scheduling protocol.

7. ASTRAL PULL CINEMATIC (RETAINED 3.7.65 POLISH)
- Reworked the pull sequence in an astral/cosmic direction inspired by the pacing of the referenced gacha games.
- Used the animated Wish, a portal/tunnel, constellations and rarity-driven impacts.
- Replaced blocky light trails and stepped portal edges with filtered 512-pixel analytic textures and fractional positioning.
- Aligned the Wish, portal, shockwaves and tunnel around one center.
- Stabilized tunnel rings and balanced constellation placements.
- Added an eased transition from the menu into the cinematic and back into arriving cards.
- Skip uses a transition rather than an abrupt cut, and remains dependent on actual server results.
- Cards arrive in aligned rows rather than uneven diagonal staggering.
- Higher rarities add more shockwaves, radial star trails, a brighter core and impact flare. Epic and above add a vertical flare; Legendary retains paired constellations and a longer sequence.
- Retained manual flips, Pokemon fitting/animation, card art, music and local chat-on-reveal through this rework.

8. SOURCE RECOVERY AND BUILD SYSTEM
- Recovered source representation for the old mod classes and combined it with the authored work from this chat.
- Cleaned the recovered tree into a compilable project rather than shipping only class files disguised as source.
- Current release has 107 Java source files plus all packaged resources.
- Full-source compilation uses actual pinned Minecraft/Fabric/Cobblemon dependencies; no CobbleGacha binary or test stubs are on the compilation classpath.
- Historical compiler output differs from freshly compiled recovered source. Therefore a separate targeted release procedure preserves unchanged historical bytes from an included, hash-checked reference JAR.
- The reference JAR is a packaging input, not a substitute for missing current source files.
- This handoff does not claim to have solved byte-for-byte reproduction of the old original 3.7.65 ZIP container/SHA. The current release has its own hash and rebuild validation.
- Added source packages, checks, asset credits and release validation notes as development continued.

9. WISH BANK, WISHLIGHT AND WISHPRISM
- Added a persistent per-player wish bank, including right-click deposit of one held wish and sneak-right-click deposit of the held stack.
- Wish availability includes stored wishes and carried wishes. Spending uses the bank first and then inventory.
- The wish menu refreshes its balance when returning from the shop.
- Added Wishlight and Wishprism as reward currencies earned from pulls, not currencies used to make pulls.
- Every pull grants 5 Wishlight.
- Premium payout: Rare 5 Wishprism; Epic 10; Ultra 20; Legendary 60. Common grants no Wishprism.
- Reward payout uses the final awarded tier.
- Currency items can also be deposited, one at a time or the held stack while sneaking.
- Added per-player wallet persistence with atomic file replacement, validation and refusal to silently reset corrupt balances.
- Kept server-side spending validation, bounded balances and one-use action tickets.
- World wallet location: data/cobblegacha-bank/<player UUID>.json.

10. WISH EXCHANGE AND SHOP EDITOR
- Added separate Wishlight and Wishprism exchange tabs.
- Added server-configurable item and Pokemon offers with IDs, names, quantities, levels, currency and price.
- Shop config: config/cobblegacha-shop.json, with a maximum of 64 offers.
- Added an operator-only Shop Editor entry in the gacha banner editor's main toolbar; removed the player-facing Edit Shop button.
- Matched the Shop Editor button to the banner editor's existing pixel button renderer and feedback.
- Reused the banner creator's searchable item/Pokemon catalogue for selecting rewards, including automatic IDs and existing pagination.
- Added editor previews, customer detail screens and item/Pokemon card presentation.
- Added currency icons next to the main shop balances.
- Restricted balances to the main customer exchange view; they no longer appear on every editor/settings/detail/reveal layer.
- Improved reward type, payment currency, appearance and exact/random labels and accents.
- Renamed SET POKEMON / RANDOM to POKEMON EDITOR.
- Preserved server validation, operator checks, inventory delivery, Pokemon storage delivery and a refund when Pokemon storage reports full.

11. SHOP POKEMON EDITOR, EXACT/RANDOM OFFERS AND PURCHASE CARDS
- Added form, nature, ability, held item, gender, shiny appearance and six IV controls.
- Nature, ability and held-item values are selectable controls rather than required typed identifiers.
- Their SELECT controls now open the original banner Pokemon settings' searchable, paginated menu.
- The picker uses a temporary settings entry and restores the original banner settings on exit.
- EXACT mode fixes defaults at save time and persists the resolved nature, ability, gender and IVs for repeat purchases. Switching the editor to Exact turns unspecified IVs into 16, after which each can be changed.
- RANDOM mode rolls unspecified values on purchase while honoring fixed overrides. Species, form, level and shiny appearance follow the offer.
- Customer previews identify randomized stats rather than presenting a fictional fixed result.
- Exact battle-stat previews come from the server rather than creating gameplay Pokemon on the client.
- Successful Pokemon purchases show a result card with the delivered Pokemon's battle stats, IVs, EVs, nature, ability, gender, held item and moves.
- Random offers receive a short flip/sparkle reveal.
- This is a result screen, not a physical inventory card item.

12. POTENTIAL PRISM ITEM
- Added an item that selects one random IV below 31 and raises it to 31.
- The player chooses an owned party Pokemon; the server chooses uniformly among eligible non-max IVs.
- Other IVs are unchanged. No item is consumed if all six IVs are already 31.
- Added a default shop offer for the prism and a party selection screen for using it.

13. CURRENCY/PRISM ART AND DEPTH FIX
- Created distinct Wishlight, Wishprism and Potential Prism artwork with cosmic, Pokeball and lightly pixelated motifs.
- Wishlight uses a blue/violet star and silver styling; Wishprism adds a gold halo; Potential Prism is a cyan capsule with stat crystals.
- Removed automatic extrusion of translucent glow pixels that produced long side ribbons on held items.
- Current versions use explicit two-sided artwork geometry. The unwanted extruded glow effect is not retained.

14. REGIONAL POKEMON SAVE FIX (3.7.71)
- Reproduced shiny Alolan Ninetales being created as Normal form and rejected by save validation on the running server.
- Confirmed that setting PokemonProperties form/aspects alone was insufficient in that environment.
- Applied the selected form's forced aspects to the Pokemon, updated its aspects/form, reapplied explicit ability and initialized moves for the chosen form.
- Kept form validation and added equivalent regional-name normalization, including Alola/Alolan.
- Confirmed the corrected path on temporary server Pokemon for shiny and non-shiny Alolan Ninetales, including explicit Snow Warning.
- Diagnostics did not grant Pokemon, spend currency or modify shop offers.

15. SHOP VISUAL POLISH (3.7.72, THIS HANDOFF)
- Added a dark celestial/Pokemart-inspired background with restrained animated pixel stars.
- Added a faint Pokeball seal, gold corner details and a separated header.
- Added an active-exchange underline and currency balance badges.
- Added layered offer borders, hover emphasis and subtle moving edge highlights.
- Replaced the nearly empty 'no offers' view with a centered Pokeball/orbit emblem, a clear empty-state message and two currency-earning information panels.
- Kept existing shop positions, fitted previews, input scaling and purchase behavior.
- Added a complete handoff with cached build dependencies, the supplied Cobblemon dependency, source/resources, editable build rules, tests, an offline build command and this retained-changes file.
