Description
Fabricator
Fabricator is a multiblock machine addon for Modern Industrialization for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. It turns cobblestone into a configurable set of materials and blocks by consuming MI energy, giving you a compact way to automate renewable resource production inside an MI-based factory.
The mod is designed to fit naturally into the Modern Industrialization ecosystem. It uses MI-style machine parts, supports MI upgrades, accepts energy through a dedicated energy input hatch, and can be fully automated with item transport.
Main Features
- Multiblock Fabricator powered by Modern Industrialization energy
- Converts cobblestone into configurable outputs
- Recipes can be edited through the server config
- Dedicated input hatch, output hatch, and energy input hatch
- Automation support for hoppers and Modern Industrialization item pipes
- Output buffer with automatic export into adjacent inventories
- Support for MI upgrades and the Overdrive Module
- Built-in in-game guide book
- Localized into multiple languages
How It Works
The Fabricator consumes cobblestone as its base input and uses stored EU to fabricate configured items or blocks. By default, the machine is limited to the recipe list defined in the mod config, so it is easy to control balance and progression for a modpack or private server.
The controller does not accept energy directly. Power must be supplied through the Fabricator Energy Input block, which feeds the internal energy buffer of the multiblock. Items are inserted through the Fabricator Input Hatch, and finished products are stored in the Fabricator Output Hatch.
The output hatch can automatically push items into an adjacent inventory, and both input and output hatches support external automation.
Multiblock Structure
The Fabricator is built as a 3x3x3 hollow multiblock.
Requirements:
- 1 Fabricator Controller
- 1 Fabricator Energy Input
- 1 Fabricator Input Hatch
- 1 Fabricator Output Hatch
- The remaining outer blocks filled with Fabricator Technical Casing
- The center of the structure must remain empty
The special blocks do not have to be placed in fixed positions. Only the controller is fixed, while the energy input, input hatch, output hatch, and casing blocks can be arranged freely within the multiblock shell.
Upgrades
The controller supports Modern Industrialization machine upgrades and the Overdrive Module.
Upgrades increase the maximum EU per tick the Fabricator can use for a recipe, allowing it to complete operations faster. The Overdrive Module provides an additional speed boost on top of normal upgrades.
Configuration
Fabricator recipes are configurable through the server config file.
This allows modpack authors and server owners to:
- remove unwanted outputs
- add custom allowed outputs
- rebalance EU costs
- control progression more tightly
By default, the Fabricator is not intended to craft every block in the game. Instead, it works from a controlled recipe list that can be adjusted to fit the pack.
Automation
The Fabricator is built for automation.
- Insert cobblestone into the Input Hatch with hoppers or item pipes
- Supply EU through the Energy Input
- Extract finished products from the Output Hatch
- Use adjacent inventories for automatic export
This makes the machine easy to integrate into larger MI production lines.
In-Game Guide
The mod includes a built-in manual that explains:
- what each block does
- how to build the multiblock
- crafting recipes
- machine behavior and automation options
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.224
- Modern Industrialization 2.4.0
Fabricator is intended for players and modpack authors who want a flexible, configurable, and automation-friendly cobblestone conversion multiblock that feels at home in an MI factory.
