This mod adds new Coal Crafting Items - Tools, Armour, and special abilities associated with them! This has a very Vanilla-style feel to it (on purpose)

Welcome to Coal Enhancements!

Here's a breakdown of the changes:

- Coal Armour:

  • Has the same statistics as Iron Armour, but 400 durability
  • Special Ability: When wearing a full set, you are immune to fire and lava damage! Beware: This RAPIDLY drains your durability - it's just enough to save you from an accidental fall in a lava pool, if you're quick!
  • Cannot be used with Mending, nor can it be repaired in an Anvil, to help balance out the special abilities

- Coal Tools: (same durability/statistics as Stone variants)

  • Sword:
    • Sets mobs on fire, cooking them if they drop raw foods
  • Axe:
    • Sets mobs on fire, cooking them if they drop raw foods
    • Special Ability: By pressing crouch, you can toggle on and off the Smelt Ability of the tool; this will, when chopped, turn most any logs into Charcoal! Beware: this drains your durability quickly!
  • Pickaxe:
    • Speical Ability: By pressing crouch, you can toggle on and off the Smelt Ability of the tool; this will, when mined, turn ores directly into Ingots! Beware: this drains your durability quickly!
  • Shovel:
    • This tool has the same Special Ability; it turns Sand or Red Sand into Glass when active
  • Hoe:
    • Break crops with this tool to get the cooked variants!

 

Make sure to install this Client AND Server side!

 

Crafting Recipes:

For tools:
The usual; but with Charcoal in the center, and regular coal everywhere else.
For example, the Pickaxe:
