Description
Inspired by the bukkit plugin clearlag, ClearDrops has been created from the ground up for newer Forge versions.
Did you know that each dropped item is an entity, and many of these can easily contribute to server lag and low TPS??? Items also don't despawn naturally in unloaded chunks!
ClearDrops is a way for you to clear dropped items every little while, getting rid of many discarded entities that are just sitting there, causing lag. It is highly configurable, using gamerules which you can change on world creation, or in game using easy-to-use commands.
If you are afraid of losing items, it warns you 1 minute before it happens, and 10 seconds before. Plus, it can easily be turned on and off with a simple command! And it's off by default. There is also a death protection feature: (Off by default) for if you don't have a corpse or gravestone mod, death protection gives players 5 extra minutes to get their items when they die (same time as vanilla item despawn).
You may also install this on a server, clients don't need it!
Commands:
Set the timer (min 30 seconds, max 1 hour or 3600 seconds): Does not start the timer if its off, only sets time
/cleardrops set <time in seconds>
Instantly clear dropped items, wether you have the timer enabled or not
/cleardrops clear
To start the timer from the beginning with current settings
/cleardrops start
To stop the timer, saving settings
/cleardrops stop
To reset the timer from the beginning
/cleardrops reset
To enable or disable death protection (If the timer is less than 5 minutes when a player dies, sets timer to 5 minutes so they can get their items safely)
/cleardrops deathprotection <on/off>
To get the current time left on the timer, as well as the total time
/cleardrops get
Running /cleardrops without any arguments will result in it telling you if its enabled or not.
