CityWorld 6.9.0 / MC 26.2
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changed
- The same seed builds the same city, every time. Two worlds made from one seed could come out with different houses: another roof, another wall, other furniture, other overgrowth and mine dressing. A chunk decorated from one run of random numbers, and many steps roll only for a cell they find free (a lamp on a clear floor, a slab on solid ground); a neighbouring chunk's decoration, which lands before or after depending on timing, could fill one such cell, and every choice after it rolled differently. Each part of a chunk's decoration (a room's furniture, a roof, a mine level, each column of overgrowth and lush caves) now rolls on its own numbers from the seed, so a cell taken by a neighbour changes only that cell. Measured on two runs of the same seed and area: CityWorld blocks differing 1,964 before, 97 after (single cells two things want at once, vanilla's own limit). Found by the LegendQuest: ZARP modpack. New chunks of an existing world will differ in detail from what 6.8 would have built there (house materials, furniture, overgrowth); street plans and city layout are unchanged.
- Custom schematics in
config/cityworld/schematicsare read in name order, so two machines take them in the same order.
