The latest Minecraft drop disappointed me (nothing new), so I came up with the idea of ​​adding a mob highly requested by the community with two new mechanics, very useful for any player, whether casual or technical.

ChiwiPost

This mod adds capybaras (called chigüires or chiwis in my country Venezuela).

They are peaceful animals (for now) that can appear in the savanna and rivers. They have four color variations: brown, golden, orange, and albino.

You can tame them by feeding them sugar cane.

Once tamed, you can give it a small bag with a chest or hats using apple, golden apple, or cyan dye.
To remove the hats, simply right-click with scissors, and to remove the bag, right-click while crouching.

Depending on the hat you give him, the Chiwi will grant you different effects (only when you're near him, within a maximum of 3 blocks).

If he has the Secret Agent Hat (Cyan dye), he'll give you Aquatic Breathing.

If he has the Apple, he'll Clear you of Poison and wither effects.

If he has the Golden Apple, he'll give you Regeneration 1.

New hats & effects

If he has the Traffic cone (Orange dye), he'll give you Resistance 1.

If he has the spectacles (Spyglass), he'll give you Night vision.

If he has the pot, he'll give you Haste.

If he has the Arepa (wheat), he'll give you saturation (every 10 seconds).

 

You can make them sit down if you crouch down and right-clicking.

You can also command them to follow you or stop following you by left-clicking them with a stick (this behavior is independent of whether they are sitting or not).

They are good swimmers, (Whether tamed or wild, they swim very well)

If you want more chiwis, you can feed them watermelon.

 

Transportation system:

You can mark a chiwi's home with a bed. It will remember that location, and if you then give it a compass, it will go there. Nothing will stop it.

You can give a chiwi with a chest your most important items to carry home, or if you die, it will collect your items (important: only items in bundle; it can carry up to 4 bundle).
If you want to get the bundles back, you must right-click on it with your empty hand.

 

This mod adds the bundle recipe for work in 1.20.1.

Big bundle:

It's a bundle, but with six times the capacity! It allows you to carry over 300 items or a full armor set and two tools!!! (Capybaras can also pick it up).

New item! Pet horn

It allows you to order chiwis (or any pet, even vanilla ones) to stand up, sit down, or teleport towards you.

It all depends on what you do.

If you're standing still and looking up, they'll teleport to you.
If you're only standing, they'll stand up.
If you're crouching, they'll sit down.

The sound also changes depending on the action; Also you can dye it item!

This horn lets you carry your pets inside (similar to a Poké Ball).

You can get it by using a Pet Horn and touching the pet you want to carry.

 

Configuration

To disable passive effects os the chiwi hats, use this command.

They are always enabled by default.
