• Column-button hit-testing had an off-by-one on the player inventory columns, clicking just past the last column button could act on the wrong slot in the row below
• The search box's "enable search" toggle didn't persist across restarts, it flipped the setting in memory but never saved it
• Config and frozen-slot save/load failures were silently swallowed, they now log a warning instead

Changed

• Deduplicated repeated shift-held / frozen-slot checks and the shift/alt key-modifier helpers into shared utility methods, no behavior change, internal cleanup only
