2.1.0
- Update to RedGear from Chemcraft. This means you'll need to update Core and the configs moved to a new folder.
- Renamed densityModifier to rarityModifier to help ease confusion
- Added a new config, generationRate, changing this will change how fast Geocraft creates it ores and therefore how the lag is distributed. See the main page or the comment in the config for more detail.
- Fixed a few bugs, including a dangerous crash.
- Added localizations! Geocraft now comes in German, French, Spanish and Italian as well as English. I did these myself with Google Translate, so don't be surprised if I made mistakes.
- If I did make a mistake, or you want YOUR language translated, just contact me (LordBlackhole) about it and I'll walk you though how to fix it, then I'll include your fix or addition in the next release.
- Oh, and I've decided to declare it "released", because if I don't do it now, I never will.
2.0.0
- Redid pretty much the entire generation system
- .......... meaning configs are reset ............. AGAIN! AAGGGAHGHAGHGHH!
- FINALLY fixed the repeating quotes config problem. Turns out removing all spaces from names fixes it.
- Reduced configs down to just rarity and density modifiers.
- This means that dimension and biome code has been cut out. I'll likely put it back in later as part of the full release, I just wanted to cut it to get this prerelase out soon.
- Split trace mines now count as normal mines, and so get their own set of configs.
- Changing the rarity of trace mines or the stone/soil types has no effect though, they always spawn in every chunk. You can turn them off though by setting their densities to 0.
- Ore can now spawn at ANY height, and it's set such that any given area of stone has the same density of ore, SO, placing a quarry on top of a mountain will get you MORE ore over all than one at sea level. Mining mountains makes sense now.
- Greatly improved the default config values.
- Created new Diamond mines. Diamonds will now spawn in single veins, and will form a vertical cone with the point deep underground.
- Improved the default cylinder mines to be much denser. If you are in a mine, it should be a LOT easier to find the other veins in it.
- Added Retrogen!
- It's automatic, and in fact, you can't turn it off.
- On an existing world, that means it will regen lots of extra ore
- On a new world that means that as you add new mods Geocraft will automatically retrogen all the new ore in old chunks. ALL the ore!
- It's automatic, and in fact, you can't turn it off.
- Improved performance. A LOT.
- However, instead of getting gittering or world holes, I seem to be getting some bad block update lag. It will go away after a while though. Please give me input on how it compares to before.
- Added Plugins for mod compatibility
- Forestry, Thermal Expansion, Thaumcraft
- If there any mods that aren't caught, let me know.
- Added default values for Copper, TIn, Lead, Silver.
1.2.2
- Improved coal generation
- Mine's of type Vanilla that have a base mine rarity of 1 won't be affected by Level 1 configs.
- Sandstone oredict can now be disabled if it's causing intermod problems.
1.2.1
- Fixed issues with reading level 2 configs. Recommend setting level 2 configs ........ again. Ugh.
1.2.0
- Fixed issue with creative pick block on stone types.
- Changed up configs a LOT ..... again.
- Got rid of "ores" list. To add ores, copy one ore and change it's values to the desired values. (Most importantly is the id and meta in the name)
- Got rid of the word-based modifiers. Now just numbers.
- Level 1 density, larger numbers mean mines are further apart
- Level 1 volume, larger numbers mean mines have more veins
- Now possible to tell an ore to ignore the oredict for itself. Meaning you CAN have different kinds of copper if you wish.
- Merged level 2 and 3. Was too complicated and not very effective.
- Got rid of veins
- Removed Veins from API as well. Each mine type now has total discretion as to how to use the info given to it.
- New mine type, Vanilla, which works just like vanilla gen: only one chunk, and any place in it.
- Made sand and sandstone generate just like gravel.
- Added Stone types to Ore Dict using "stone" and "cobblestone". Ores can now spawn in other stone types (also sandstone).
- Added mine type FLAT. Used by coal. Spawns ores on a flat horizontal plane.
- Added new default values for coal, coal is now more rare but is in really big veins.
1.1.2
- Fixed more issues with the configs.
- Fixed default meta being 1 when it should have been 0.
- Fixed default ore values being way too small. New values are based on IC2 copper.
- Rewrote the way the trace veins are generated. The value of "traceRarity" is now the number of times Geocraft will TRY to generate a trace vein in each chunk. Trace veins can be generated anywhere from y 1 to 128. I recommend you erase all the configs again, otherwise you won't get any trace veins.
1.1.1
- Doubled Stone vein size
- Target's now use Ore Dictionary. Meaning that if another mod adds other kinds of stone, registers them AND smooth stone with the OreDict, then they will be treated the same and ores will spawn in them. Works for other things too.
- Fixed config reading. You'll have to reset your configs, sorry, it's a Beta. Configs don't use names anymore, it was causing problems. Names should be put in comments above the data though.
1.1.0
- Softened Limestone
- Added new system to override the Vanilla ore generation system and drastically mining forever. Defaults however are set to be not very different. See thread for more details.
1.0.0
- Initial release!
