Description
S&C Leather Armors (Studded & Chained), formerly called simply
chained leather armor, is a tactical mod expansion for Minecraft that fills the gap between iron and diamond armor, giving purpose and use to leather and chainmail armor. Beyond that, it introduces combat mechanics based on agility, evasion and thermoregulation.

Chained armor:
This armor guarantees resistance to arrows and reduces the speed nerf applied by slow potions (per piece of armor), it's made partly of leather, you can walk on powder snow (only the boots, but it doesn't make you immune to freezing).
(If you wear the full armor set, you'll gain a new effect Dexterity).




Studded armor:
This armor guarantees a reduction in the duration of burns and increases the time it takes to freeze you (per piece of armor), it's made partly of leather, you can walk on powder snow (only the boots).
(If you wear the full armor set, you'll gain a new effect Aclimatized).




Effects:
Acclimatized:
It makes you immune to burn damage and cold damage completely (but it doesn't make you immune to damage lava, or to blaze projectiles hits). The effect lasts 6 seconds and only applies constantly if you have all 4 Studded leather armor armor pieces. (stop applying while you are on fire, or in powder snow, or on burning blocks like fire, soul fire, magma block and campfires).
If your armor is enchanted with Fire protection and Frost walker, a second maximum is added to the effect per enchants level, the maximum increase is 24 seconds (if you have both of these enchantments at maximum, the effect is enhanced and makes you immune to lava damage).
(Extra passive ability only for mobs: if a piglin wears this full armor and the acclimatized effect is activated, it will be immune to zombification).
Dexterity:
Negates direct damage by dashing backward, can also reflect projectiles; Recover 90% of your base speed if you have the slowing effect and can run. The effect lasts 2 seconds and only applies constantly if you have all 4 Chained leather armor pieces. (Each time you are hit or reflect a projectile, the effect goes on cooldown for 15 seconds).
If your armor is enchanted with Projectile protection and Soul speed, dexterity recharge decreases half a second per enchant level, the minimum reduction is 5 seconds (if you have both of these enchantments at maximum It makes you immune to slowness and allows you to negate the damage of 2 proyectile before reloading the cooldown).
(Extra passive ability only for mobs: if a hostile/neutral mob wears this full armor and the dexterity effect is activated, it will can run).
Hostile mobs like the zombies, piglins, skeletons, strays, withers (& boggeds in 1.21.1) can spawn naturally with armor sets, and the brute piglin especially has been given the ability to wear studded armor enchanted to protect it from fire and lava in bastions.
