OVERVIEW
Caves & Creatures is a mod that adds three cave biomes full of new creatures you can bring home as pets. With 23 new mobs, including an ancient axolotl species called “Salotls” that has over 140 variants, each biome brings its own personality and fun. If I include all variants, the total number of mobs added in this mod would be 185 mobs! Almost all mobs are now tamable and can be made to sit/wander/stay wih the use of a stick. With more being added frequently, there is always something new to explore! So far this mod adds over 50 new plants! This mod can be paired with other cave exploration mods to create a giant revamp of Minecraft’s caves. While this cave mod is more focused on pets and animals, future biomes may have other focal points. Download and explore it yourself to see what you can find!
Ancient Lush Caves
The Ancient Lush Caves is a sandy and green tropical cave with beautiful blue water, very similar to lush caves. However, Ancient Lush Caves has sandy lakes, mud ponds, tar pits, hybrid creatures, and more! Tar pits are dangerous—don’t fall in! This cave currently has 8 different mobs. These mobs include Frogbats, Tiger Cubs, Spider Snakes, Meganeura, Ophthalmosaurus, Liopleurodon, Jaucans, and Salotls. There are also 20 new plants you can collect from this cave biome! You may wanna bring milk buckets as the Spider Snakes have a paralytic venom. Most tamable creatures can be tamed with heart fruit or glow berries for now, besides the Liopleurodon, which requires the meat of a Ophthalmosaurus to tame it.
MOBS
Frogbats:
A cute ancient hybrid species, a mix between a Frog & Bat. Can be tamed with heart fruit or glow berries. (this will change in a future update)
Tiger Cubs:
Can be tamed with heart fruit or glow berries. (this will change in a future update)
Spider Snakes:
A dangerous hybrid species, a mix between a Spider & a Snake. Can be tamed with heart fruit or glow berries. (this will change in a future update)
Meganeura:
Can be tamed with heart fruit or glow berries. (this will change in a future update)
Ophthalmosaurus:
Cannot yet be tamed.
Liopleurodon:
Can be tamed with Ophthalmosaurus meat. Can be saddled by right clicking one with a saddle in your main hand
Jaucans:
An ancient feathered hybrid species, a mix between a Jaguar & Toucan. Can be tamed with Ophthalmosaurus Meat. Can be Saddled.

BIOME TEASER
Deserted Depths
The Deserted Depths is a cave full of sweets and treats. Got a sweet tooth? Well, this will be your new favorite place! In this biome, you will find lots of food, colorful blocks similar to concrete sand called “sugar sand,” and various creatures with a sweet twist. Sugar sand, although similar to concrete powder, is more vibrant and doesn’t fall like concrete powder. This can be very useful for colorful ceilings or other builds! This cave currently has 9 different mobs, including Sweet Sabers , Candy Corn Mice, Ice Cream Crabs, Chocolate Chipmunks, Sugar Skull Snails, Swiss Roll Snails, Elephant Animal Crackers, Popturtles, Candy Mouse Lemurs, Ice Cream Carp, Other Chipmunks, and Salotls. All tamable Creatures here can be tamed with Rainbow Glowcandies, Chocolate Covered Glowberries, and White Chocolate Covered Glowberries. Ice cream stalks can be harvested with a bowl to get ice cream. You can then combine the ice cream bowls with sprinkles to make sprinkled ice cream! There are also 19 new plants you can collect from this cave biome! Cherrys and Lollipops can be harvested from their bushes.
MOBS
Sweet Sabers:
Can be tamed with lollipops. When tamed can be saddled by right clicking using a Sweet Saddle.
Candy Corn Mouse:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries.
Ice Cream Crabs:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries. When killed they have a high chance of dropping a ice cream cone. The ice cream cone block generates 5 scoops of icecream every few minutes and can be harvested by using a bowl to collect the ice cream.
Chocolate Chipmunk, M &M Ice Cream Sandwich Chipmunk, Cookies & Cream Chipmunk:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries.
Sugar Skull Snail & Swiss Roll Snail:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries.
Elephant Animal Cracker:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries.
Popturtles:
Laffy Taffy Lemur:
Can be tamed with Glowcandies, Chocoalte Glowberries, and White Chocolate covered Glowberries. Drops Laffy Taffy Leather which can be crafted into a Sweet Saddle and used to mount tamed Sweet Sabers.
Ice Cream Carp:
A desserted salotl's favorite snack. Cannot be tamed

Generates ice cream that can be harvested with a bowl. Generates 5 enough for 5 bowls every few minutes.
BIOME TEASER
Luminous Caves
The Luminous Caves is a dark cave with bioluminescent sand that lights up beneath your feet! There are many plants to discover here with unique functions, and 4 beautiful bioluminescent mobs, such as Lumanta Rays, Moonlit Frogbats, Click Beetles, Glowfish, and Salotls! This biome will be the first to receive updates in the weeks to come. All tamable creatures here can be tamed with lumi, luma, and sunkissed berries. There are also 17 new plants you can collect from this cave biome!

Salotls are an ancient species of axolotls that can only be found in the three new biomes added, as well as a few that can be found in Dripstone Caves. There are currently 149 different Salotls that can be found. Salotls can be bucketed, and when placed from a bucket, they are given a default nametag to prevent despawning. Once bucketed u can use jei to see how to tame you new friend! Just hover over the bucket in your inventroy and press the "R" key. (Some dont have jei info but will be added soon)

The Collector
The Collector is a new villager who trades rare items that can only be obtained through him! As of now, he only trades for 2 items. Many more will be coming soon! His trade block is a normal chest for now.
