Description
A simple mod for customized collection cards
A simple mod to add customized card collections in minecraft. It is supported to add customized card collections by datapack & resource packs, with customized dimensions (like rarity, faction, gender, etc.). Players can leverage these cards to set game goals (with other customized looting mods), or only for decoration purpose.
For Forge 1.16 only. Please refer MineTradingCards for 1.12 (& 1.7) with similar functionality.
Summary:
- Integrated an example card collection "minecraft mobs", thanks to minecraft wiki!
- New player will get a mob encyclopedia (configurable) to collect mob cards by right click mobs.
- Support customized card collections (datapack & resource pack driven)
- Full set card collections and auto generated gachas of all loaded datapacks are automatically generated in creative tab.
- Custom card collection schema, see https://github.com/skydark/CardCollections/wiki/Card-collection-data-structure
- No spawn method for new items introduced by datapacks, expect to be used with custom spawn / looting mods together, see https://github.com/skydark/CardCollections/wiki/Spawn-gacha-in-survival-mode which contains an example of how to "get a gacha of overworld hostile mob card with 50% chance after kill a zombie" by leveraging McJty's In Control! mod.
Items:
- Card: right click to view card image, right click on block to put it like a painting.
- Gacha: right click to get a random card within a given filter; shift-right click to get a collection book with the same filter.
- Collection book: right click to show book GUI; shift-right click to collect all collectable cards in player inventory.
Missing introductions that expected to be added in recent weeks, probably:
- Tutorials for creating packs.
- NBT structure for customizing card / gacha / collection book spawns.
Notes:
- Initial version and only tested on single player. Expected to be buggy and please use it at your own risk.
- See images tab and you'll get the purpose of this mod.
- Not a native English speaker, sorry for any inconvenience if there are any miss-leadings.
