CamaraMonitoring V1.1.2
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changelog
1.1.2
A maintenance release. Nothing new was added; a full review of the mod found a number of things that did not work the way they were meant to, and this fixes them.
Fixed
- Viewer access works. A player given Viewer on a camera could not open a single feed: every attempt answered "unknown camera". The same fault made every camera whose location was hidden from a player look like the same camera to the interface, so selecting one, switching between them and hiding the housing you are looking out of all picked the wrong one.
/cameramonitoring removeremoves the camera instead of resetting it. It used to delete the record and leave the block standing, which re-registered itself a tick later as an unowned camera with no password and no user list, free for anyone to claim. It now takes the block down too and returns the chassis and its modules.- A camera that is switched off or unlinked stops reporting detections. It used to freeze at whatever it last saw, so the station list, the monitor panels and the comparator all kept counting intruders on a camera that was plainly off.
- The Audio Module's gain slider is audible. The gain was worked out and then thrown away: it moved the level meter and decided the noise gate, but the sound itself always played at its original volume.
- Buttons along the bottom of the Access tab work. With enough users on the list, pressing "Add user" did nothing visible and quietly changed somebody's permission level instead.
- Disconnecting while watching a feed hands your camera view back. It used to leave you stuck in first person, and carry the wrong setting into the next world you opened.
- Pulling a Zoom Enhancement Module out from under somebody watching no longer leaves their zoom wrong for the rest of the session.
- Flicking a module's on/off switch no longer discards the settings you had adjusted but not yet applied.
- Every player online can be picked as an alarm recipient. The list stopped after the first four, and anyone already subscribed from further down could not be seen or unticked.
- A server that lowers the module limit no longer has its cameras advertise bays that can never be filled.
- A monitoring station can only be opened by somebody standing at it. Answering its password prompt used to open it from anywhere in the world, and could open a different station standing at the same coordinates in another dimension.
- A malformed access level in a packet is ignored instead of dropping the connection.
/cameramonitoring modulesno longer leaves administration rights on the player after the screen is closed, where they stood in for a device they were not holding.- Opening and switching feeds is rate limited like every other packet.
Changed
- Remote monitors now say which access level they will exercise — Viewer, Operator or Administrator — in place of a line about relaying alarms. The alarm relay was never implemented: alarms have always gone to everyone holding Operator on the camera, whichever remote they carry, and they still do.
defaultDetectionRadiusandidleCameraTickIntervalnow do what the configuration file says they do. Both were being ignored.
Performance
- Cameras no longer rebuild and compare their module list on every tick; that reconciliation is housekeeping and now runs on the housekeeping interval.
- Log housekeeping only marks the world data as changed when an entry actually aged out. It used to force every camera, user list and log entry to be written again on every save.
Worlds from 1.1.1 open unchanged; no saved format was altered.
