What's new
Changelog - Breximatica v1.8.0
Visual & GUI Enhancements
1. Solid Block Model Color Tinting
- Texture Color Blending: Solid translucent block overlays are now tinted with the selected overlay preset color (e.g. Cyan for correct, Lime for missing, Red for mismatch).
- Preserved Texture Details: The rendering system blends 40% of the preset color with 60% of the block's natural texture. This creates a color-coded overlay while still allowing you to distinguish wood, stone, glass, and other block types under the tint.
2. Outlines (Lines) Toggle Option
- Customizable Wireframe Render: Added the
Outlines: ON/OFFbutton in the Visuals & Render column. You can combine this with theSolidstoggle to customize your view:- Solids ON, Outlines OFF: See tinted block models only (clean colored blocks without wireframe lines).
- Solids ON, Outlines ON: See tinted block models with wireframe lines.
- Solids OFF, Outlines ON: See wireframe lines only (classic view).
3. Layer Up/Down Buttons (+/- Layer)
- Visual Integration: Re-added the
- Layerand+ Layerbuttons to the Visuals & Render column of the GUI to allow manual Y-layer increments/decrements. - Symmetry Overhaul: Aligned column headers horizontally and positioned the "Close" button at the bottom of Column 2 to perfectly mirror the layout of Column 1, ensuring a symmetric design.
Codebase Renaming & Namespace Overhaul
- Complete Rename: Renamed the entire mod package group from
schematichelperto purely Breximatica. - Refactoring: Migrated all package definitions to
com.beran.breximatica, renamed GUI class toBreximaticaScreen.java, updated configuration filename tobreximatica.json, and updated all logger categories, key bindings, and assets.
Autopilot & Block Placement Upgrades
4. Universal Block Rotation Placement Engine
- Look-Towards Rotations: Fixed camera target rotations for doors, beds, fence gates, and bells. Autopilot now faces the look-towards direction during placement to match schematic orientations.
- Double-Block Placements: Added filters to automatically skip targeting the upper halves of doors/double plants and the head part of beds. Autopilot now only places the base block (
LOWERorFOOT), allowing the game to generate the upper/head part without causing double-placement loops. - 16-Directional Standing Banners & Signs: Dynamically calculates exact 16-point player yaw rotation based on the
ROTATION_16property. - Anvils: Added a 90-degree counter-clockwise camera offset, matching Minecraft's perpendicular placement code for anvils.
5. Detailed Neighbor Click-Face Validation (isNeighborValidForState)
- Autopilot now clicks adjacent blocks using precise rules:
- Wall Attached Blocks (ladders, wall signs/banners, torches, tripwire hooks, end rods, shulker boxes, lightning rods): Restricts clicks strictly to the supporting wall surface (
facing.getOpposite()). - Hoppers & Cocoa Beans: Restricts click targets to those matching the nozzle or fruit attachment direction (
facing). - Buttons, Levers & Grindstones: Validates attachment face properties (
AttachFace), restricting clicks toUPfor ceiling,DOWNfor floor, andfacing.getOpposite()for walls. - Standing Torches: Restricts placement strictly to floor blocks (
DOWN).
- Wall Attached Blocks (ladders, wall signs/banners, torches, tripwire hooks, end rods, shulker boxes, lightning rods): Restricts clicks strictly to the supporting wall surface (
Scaffolding & Supports System
6. Persistent Scaffolding Memory & 20s Delay
- Config Persistence: Migrated the scaffolding tracking list to a map (
placedScaffoldTimes) stored insideconfig/breximatica.json. The mod remembers all placed scaffolds even after client restarts or server disconnects. - Session Counter: Added
totalScaffoldsPlacedCounttracking to log total scaffolds built during project sessions. - Minimum 20-Second Lifetime Delay: Support blocks are preserved for a minimum of 20 seconds after placement before they can be broken. This prevents place-break feedback loops and maintains stable footing for movement.
- Intelligent BFS Connection Validation: Upgraded
isScaffoldNeededto traverse through all solid block paths (placed building blocks and scaffolds) in the level. If a support block is used as a bridge to reach a distant missing block, the bot recognizes that it is still needed and preserves it until those missing parts are built. - Reach Range Validation: Added distance verification before breaking support blocks. If a registered support block is currently outside the player's reach, the autopilot will keep it in memory and wait until the player walks closer before breaking it, preventing blocks from being forgotten.
7. Prioritized Horizontal Bridging & Single-Block Supports
- Bridge Priority: Reordered scaffolding logic inside
tryBuildNearbyto process horizontal BFS paths and single-block attachments before looking at vertical column pillars. - Vertical Pillar Fallback: Vertical pillars from the floor up are only generated as a fallback when no horizontal bridge connection to adjacent structures is found, reducing block usage.
8. Gravity-Affected Block Support Validation
- Falling Block Safety: Placed falling blocks (Sand, Gravel, Concrete Powder, Anvils) now verify the block state directly below them in the world.
- Support Strategy:
- If the block below is air and is part of the schematic, the autopilot defers placing the falling block until the correct schematic block below is built first.
- If the block below is air and is not part of the schematic (i.e. floating sand block in layout), a temporary scaffold block is built below it first to prevent the falling block from falling.
