The two primary changes from betal 1.0.6 is:

 

Added Redstone Clock block.  This block pulses a redstone signal every few sections.  It behaves exactly like the old Redstone Clock from Extra Utilities.

 

Changed the behavior of the auto-placement of the mining portal block when you first teleport to the mining dimension. Previously we replaced a surface block, now the block is placed above the surface block.  This makes it easier to find since the mining world is flat and all the blocks are stone-esque.
