Intro

Boundless Flux is a mod that adds a variety of new energy based weapons / tools, with many different models and textures available! These tools all have upgrades available, and can increase their damage / mining speed permanently by slaying enemiesor breaking blocks! The damage cap, damage conversion, and energy consumed on use can all be configured if you'd like to limit the strength of the weapons and/or mining speed of the tools.

This mod also adds a config option (true by default) that allows the ender dragon to spawn eggs past the first one.

This mod has no innate way to generate power or autocraft Entangled Matter. I recommend a powergen mod such as Mekanism and a storage / autocrafting mod like RefinedStorage or AppliedEnergistics 2.

Weapon Bench

The Weapon Entity Entangler Bench allows you to insert a Boundless weapon / tool into the middle slot, then insert up to 3 weapon / tool enhancements in the available slots. Each upgrade applies a new enchantment to your tool. The next / previous buttons allow you to cycle between all available tool styles while keeping the stats / enchantments the same! Meaning you can swap between any tool style without having to make a new weapon and grind new enhancements / damage.

Weapon Example

The Energy text is how much remaining energy your weapon has. Your weapons damage is based on your weapons CURRENT energy meaning the less energy you have remaining, the less damage you deal. By default, your weapon will consume 1% of your remaining energy on hit, then of that consumed damage, it will convert 0.1% of it to damage. So if you have 1,000,000 energy (default max), you will deal 1,000,000 * 0.01 * 0.001 = 10 damage. On kill you will gain MAX energy equal to the amount of energy consumed. So for that hit you would gain 10,000 MAX energy and once recharged, your weapon would now deal 1,010,000 * 0.01 * 0.001 = 10.1 damage. This damage growth is exponential since the more energy you have the more you can gain on kill. You can configure the max energy cap if you don't want these weapons to scale to ridiculous numbers.

Tool Example

Like the swords / bows, all tools gain energy on use. For the tools, they gain MAX energy on block break, which will increase the SPEED MULTIPLIER that tool has. This will cause the tool to require more energy generation to keep up with the growing demand of your tool. You can turn off gaining max FE by ticking off the checkbox for Gain FE. Your tool will no longer gain MAX FE if you feel your tool is fast enough.

Sword Upgrades:
Looting Enhancement - Looting VI
Sweeping Enhancement - Sweeping Edge VI
Fire Enhancement - Fire Aspect IV

Bow Upgrades Storm Call Enhancement - Summons a lightning bolt on arrow hit that deals the full damage of the arrow in an AoE arround it. This lightning bolt will not destroy blocks or items.
Infinity Enhancement - Infinity Enchant but no arrows required in inventory.
Flame Enhancement - Flame

Tool Upgrades
Silk Touch Enhancement - Silk Touch
Fortune Enhancement - Fortune VI
Hammer 3x3 Enhancement - Destroy blocks in a 3x3
Tree Faller Enhancement - Only for Axes Destroy an entire tree in one hit (Only if block has tag "logs").
VeinMiner Enhancement - Only for Pickaxes Destroy an entire vein of ores in one hit (Only if block has tag "ores").

Random Upgrades

Energy Gain Enhancement - Causes tool / weapon to gain 50% MORE MAX energy on block destroy / mob kill.
Firework Enhancement - Causes weapon to summon a random firework on mob kill, damage doesn't scale with weapon, purely for aesthetics.

Tool Crafting

To craft the Bounded Sword, you will need 2 Awakened Entangled Matter, as well as 1 stick.
The crafting ingredients for a single Awakened Entangled Matter are:
1024 Redstone, 1024 Lapis, 256 Coal, 1024 Iron, 256 Gold, 64 Diamond, 16 Nether Star, 4 End Crystal and 1 Dragon Egg.

To upgrade your Bounded Sword to a Boundless Sword, it will take a third Awakened Entangled Matter that you will then craft into an Energy Crystal.

Energy Crystal

Energy Crystals are used to upgrade your Bounded Weapon into a Boundless Weapon, which supports energy, upgrades, and permanent damage increases. To upgrade your Bounded Weapon to a Boundless Weapon, you must hold a fully charged Energy Crystal in your offhand, with your Bounded Weapon in your main hand. Then at exactly midnight, look directly up into the moon and right click. You will be struck with lightning imbuing your weapon with the power of the crystal upgrading it into a Boundless Weapon.
