• New Rune of Deception (botania:rune_deception). It is made in the Runic Altar from a Rune of Spring, a Rune of Water, Pixie Dust, a Dreamwood Twig and a Block of Mana Diamond for 20000 mana, has its own Lexicon page, counts as a rune for catalysts and advancements, and is registered like any other rune (KubeJS and RegisterRunes keep working).
• The Wither Mana Rose Runic Altar recipe now takes one of each ingredient: Unactivated Wither Mana Rose, Mana Diamond, Mana Pearl, Mana Powder, Loonium, Daybloom Motif, Rune of Pride, Rune of Deception, Rune of Fire and Rune of Water, and its mana cost was lowered from 100000 to 20000 so it crafts much faster.
• The Creative Crafting module id is now creative (config key modules.creative, recipes under botania:creative/) instead of cre, and it no longer adds its own creative tab, since the objects it covers are regular Botania items already listed in the Botania tab.
• Fixed tooltips of rings, relics and other items showing literal &6, &7, &b color codes in the Spanish and Dutch translations.
• New optional module sophisticated (modules.sophisticated, on by default; it only loads when Sophisticated Core and Sophisticated Backpacks or Sophisticated Storage are installed, otherwise it does nothing): four Botania Stack Upgrades (Manasteel x1M, Elementium x2M, Terrasteel x3M and Gaia x12B, crafted in a chain from an Upgrade Base; the limit of a slot is still capped at 2,147,483,647 items, so the Mana Pile Upgrade reaches its maximum capacity with any of them), the Mana Pile Upgrade, which stores mana in a backpack or storage (capacity grows with Stack Upgrades; it fills from Mana Tablets and Mirrors kept inside, in its own slot or carried in your inventory, and from Mana Spreaders and Sparks when the backpack, barrel or chest is placed as a block; it shows a vertical mana bar, has its own tab and can be switched off with the slot button), and the Mana Support Upgrade (also switchable), which lets the Botania items you carry spend the mana of the Mana Pile Upgrades of your backpacks. Capacity, absorption rate and switches are in botania-sophisticated-common.toml.
• The sophisticated module also adds four Botania Backpack tiers that continue the Sophisticated Backpacks chain after the Netherite Backpack: Manasteel (280 slots, 8 upgrade slots), Elementium (380/9), Terrasteel (480/10) and Gaia (595/10), each crafted from the previous backpack with four ingots (Gaia Ingots for the last one), keeping its contents, upgrades and colors, fire resistant, wearable on the back slot, and with slot counts and an on/off switch (backpacks.enabled) in the config.
• The sophisticated module also adds four Botania Barrel tiers and four Botania Chest tiers for Sophisticated Storage that continue its chain after the Netherite ones: Manasteel (280 slots, 6 upgrade slots), Elementium (380/7), Terrasteel (480/8) and Gaia (595/10). Each is upgraded in the crafting grid with eight ingots around the previous barrel or chest (double chests with the previous double chest and two ingots), keeps its contents, paint and upgrades, Terrasteel and Gaia are fire and blast resistant, and slots can be changed or the whole feature switched off in botania-sophisticated-common.toml (storage section). Four Tier Upgrade items (Netherite to Manasteel, Manasteel to Elementium, Elementium to Terrasteel and Terrasteel to Gaia, each crafted from eight ingots around a lever) upgrade a barrel or chest already placed in the world with a right click, keeping its contents, upgrades, paint, name and orientation (a double chest uses two items and both halves are upgraded). They only exist when Sophisticated Storage is installed. Storages with many slots (up to 695) use the scrollable inventory screen of Sophisticated Core, and a small client fix caps its height so the background draws correctly on tall screens.
• The sophisticated module also integrates with two optional mods. With Sophisticated ATM Tiers installed the chain starts from its Unobtainium backpack, barrel and chest instead of the Netherite ones (the Netherite to Manasteel Tier Upgrade item accepts both), and with Masterful Botany installed a fifth tier, Alfsteel (695 inventory slots, 10 upgrade slots, a practically infinite Alfsteel Stack Upgrade and a Gaia to Alfsteel Tier Upgrade item), continues the chain after Gaia.
• The sophisticated module also adds three crafting upgrades that run Botania recipes inside a backpack or storage, each with its own tab and slots and powered by the Mana Pile Upgrade of the same storage: the Runic Altar Upgrade (up to 16 ingredients plus a Livingrock, returns the runes, mana cost of the recipe), the Elven Portal Upgrade (trades the items in its slots automatically, 500 mana per trade) and the Botanical Brewery Upgrade (a vial, flask, incense stick or blood pendant plus up to 6 reagents). They wait while the storage has no Mana Pile Upgrade, lacks mana or has no room for the result. Switches, rates and costs are in botania-sophisticated-common.toml (runic_altar, elven_portal, brewery). With JEI or REI, the + button of the Runic Altar, Elven Trade and Brewery recipes works while one of these upgrades is installed in the open backpack or storage: it moves the ingredients from your inventory and the storage into the upgrade slots (hold Shift to fill the Elven Portal Upgrade with as many trades as you have), highlighting the missing ones.
• The Botania creative tab now has side sections that split its items by purpose (Generating, Functional, Mana Network, Gear, Accessories, Ingredients, Brewing, Decoration and Misc, plus one section for each active module with content: Botania Extras, Asgard and Sophisticated). The search bar still looks through all of them and items that other mods or KubeJS add to the Botania tab appear in Misc. The Asgard and Botania Extras modules no longer register their own creative tabs, and the selected section is client-only and is not remembered between sessions. The sections come from the Fractal library.
